My friend and I made a deposit to visit this place, but unfortunately we had to reroute our places of visit as we missed our train, and in return, we knew we were going to be late and had to forfeit our deposit & visit. Upon arrival to the place, my friend explained our situation, but was repeatedly denied entry, with no proper resolution.
While I understand the rules and regulations, it was clear the guy serving us lacked customer service experience, and empathy. My friend was already on the verge of tears and I had to step in to the situation to ask if there is another time slot for us to enter, as we are more than glad to pay for the re-entrance fees and/or deposit if necessary.
However, during the conversation in mandarin, I've said along the lines of "下一班“ (next time slot), but the guy immediately jumped into conclusion thinking its "下班” (end of working hours) instead, and sarcastically told me “你下班,我也跟着下班啊” - if you're ending work, we're ending work too. While I managed to correct our understanding, the conclusion was that there were no more slots, and we were left without a choice but to leave.
While I did not make any further comments during the situation, just my short conversation alone with the guy servicing us was extremely appalling.
I've taken a look at the reviews and comments and it does paint a picture that the owners are purely cat lovers that are doing this as a transactional business. The lack of human touch was extremely obvious.
If you are alright with the lack of human touch and loves cats, visit at your own risk. Otherwise, not a place I'd recommend to anyone.
*Edit to the owner's response: Take the surveillance camera and throw facts by all means. From the surveillance camera, you are also well aware there were 2 of us. Based on my review above and your comments stating "you", I think it's clear "you" does not refer to me.
I don't think you got the memo that it takes a certain level of customer service to ensure you are able to deliver your message clear, fair to all parties, without a customer walking away extremely upset and on the verge of tears. That's the lack of human touch I'm talking about.

After taking 30 mins uber from city centre, and greeted by the lovely cats, I know this place wont disappoint me. Over 50 healthy, beautiful cats walking, running, climbing freely in a spacious, clean and tidy area. Some of them welcome you, play with you, smell you, sit on lap. Some just sleep (as usual). Truly appreciate the time and effort (and money) the owners spent on these lovely cats, esp. the long hair ones. All are named and you can tell they are from the same family: Gin, Vodka, Tequila; characters of comic "Doraemon"; or Mahjong tiles. They will stick together and sleep on the same bench. Unlike other cafes, cats ignore you cos they are busy with entertaining human 7 days. Here, they open for 3 or 4 days a week. and probably limit the crowd size. Read moreOh god. What a nightmare trying to navigate all the rules of this establishment. Googled cat cafe because I miss my cats during travel and found this highly rated place. Wanted to call to make a reservation but they don’t have a phone number. Looked up their website and it was all Chinese. Thought I would to try my luck anyway. Located up on a hill in the middle of nowhere, took 30 mins to hike up from the new light rail station.
And then I was denied entry because they were full. Okay, fair. But the receptionist was curt, impatient, and condescending. I don’t speak perfect mandarin and it feels terrible to be treated like a child.
I will look into other cafes. This was a waste of time.
Edit: Your reply and responses to other customers with less than stellar reviews offer glimpses to your character and psyche. And they further validates my initial review.
