Costco Wholesale — Restaurant in New Taipei

The typically sized Costco store. Two floors, with groceries in the basement. (Basement ceiling is high, and lighting is bright, so you won't feel like you are underground.)

The escalator to the basement is quite hard to spot but it is in the corner behind the pharmacy if you are looking for it now :)

Service seems to be better than the average Taipei Costco: we were offered to wait indoors when the rain was starting to fall, and the cart was collected from us when we finished curbside loading.

The door ladies racially profiling us foreigners. They let everyasian person through without asking to see costco membership card but asked myself and my friends, along with other foreigners i don’t know, told us to show proof and made us dig through our wallets just to show our proof. The other costcos in Beitou and Taipei didn’t even asked us to show but rather asked us to show when we paid which most costcos i’ve been to do with customers. Shame shame shame. This is a great location for wholesales item in Taiwan. My favorite place to shop for friends and family in bulk. The membership fee is quite reasonable for the value of everything you could find in here. The only problem is the money trap, you will likely spend a decent amount every trip you come and it is often unnoticeable. Obviously with good stock management skills that wouldn’t be a problem.
