小和山谷 — Restaurant in Shoufeng

Typical Taiwanese Instagram place: The food tastes good (but one meal didn’t come with any vegetables at all, which I think is not a balanced meal then) and the presentation of the food is better than at other IG places. Some drinks are special (e.g. lemon juice with matcha), but then they don’t taste that special. Ordering food is only done per QR code and online ordering, and be careful: the ordering software has a bug. Once one has paid, the app tells you that your order wasn’t successful, because someone is ordering from the same table. Service is ok, but cold and not specifically friendly, seems rushed and not happy to answer customer questions. The restaurant’s building seems like a Japanese era historical building that is well taken care of from the inside, but on the outside the fundament is moldy and not well protected against the weather. The noodles and the curry were both amazingly delicious Also the soufflé was unforgettable, the texture was soft and just melted upon touching your tongue The chocolate milkshake was really sweet but it tasted awesome! Chocoholic must not miss it!

Be aware that you might have to wait for more than an hour Go there first to get your name on the waiting list and go somewhere else to wait...

Ideal place to get takeout after work. The take out menu is a bit different due to the fact that there’s lots of food with so many decorations and additions. Soufflés melt for example and the milkshake will only be basic because of packaging.

Dine in. Take out. Doesn’t matter. Still delicious....
