台南土城螃蟹專賣店（耐人蟳味） — Restaurant in Tainan

Half a dozen meaty red crabs bursting with roe and paste for a little under NT3000.

The Cai family is so very welcoming and friendly. As out-of-towners we requested them to cook and crack our crabs so we could eat on the go and they were more than willing to accommodate, mustering up three family members to assist with the process.

If you have the ability to cook yourself, I recommend collecting them live. Since ours was an afternoon pickup, our cooked batch was long cooled by the time we got them. This means the roe and paste were semi dried and glued to the shell so it was harder to dig out. For anyone who’s eaten dried roe, this is akin to powdery dried egg yolk. The meat was still very juicy, tender, and sweet.

Tip: Call and reserve a day in advance, or at least early morning if you also want to know the daily special catches. They sell out very quickly.

今年七月中去台南玩，因緣際會親戚外帶請吃一次，全家人都愛上😍蛋多肉質又鮮，隔天馬上請親戚代買，當晚馬上被家人分光，好險可以宅便🥹回北部後又陸續訂過兩次，品質依舊好，已經等不及想再訂購了🫣
