Old local Hakka cuisine — Restaurant in Taoyuan City

After my golf game today, I decided to swing by this local Hakka restaurant and give their Hakka dishes another shot. Gotta say, the chicken was a bit of a letdown. It was way too big to enjoy properly, which was a bummer. On the bright side, the steamed fish with tofu was absolutely delicious! Bursting with amazing flavors, it really hit the spot. And let's not forget about the fried oyster – hands down, my favorite! Pairing it with a cold beer was the perfect combo. Now, here's the real surprise: the pig intestines. They were cooked in a unique way, with ginger and a tangy kick, and boy, were they tasty! Oh, and to satisfy my post-golf hunger, I couldn't resist adding a baked onion pancake to the mix. We arrived today at 1.45 and the restaurant was full. We waited for 10 minutes before a family finished their meal.

We helped ourselves with the white rice as the kids were hungry. The food arrived fast and my my, all very delicious. I strongly recommend the 客家小炒，醋溜梅花肉 is so appetising, the chicken in the soup 日本山药is soft and fresh.
