We stayed at this hotel because we were invited to a wedding lunch here. The wedding restaurant was great. Great view, scenery, food. We reached at around 11am and checked in around 3:30pm after the wedding lunch. And it all went down hill afterwards. The room had some really old decor, and very dark (which might appeal to certain demographic but...definitely not us). It felt depressing. Around 7pm, we were hungry and lazy and tried to order room service and guess what? THERE IS NO ROOM SERVICE. We called the hotel reception and he told us they basically don't send food to the room. Wow, we were pretty amazed to be honest. We walked down for the chinese restaurant inside the hotel. The whole hotel was really quiet and empty, and the restaurant was really empty too (I think most people were here just for the wedding lunch). The food wasn't very good. We asked the restaurant manager what to do if we were hungry after 9:30pm (the restaurant closing time) and he told us the only option we have is taking a 10-15 mins taxi to downtown YangMei's FamilyMart. Yikes. When the night comes, the room was really cold. There was a "heating" option in the air conditioner but all it did was blowing cold air. It was probably then we regretted our decision of staying at Sunrise Golf. Uh well, lesson learned: come only for the wedding lunch, and go back to Taipei city for...
