My three star rating is the result of the uneven quality of food served. There were some standouts and some underwhelming ones.

The chicken was outstanding as the flesh was very tender and naturally flavorful. The oyster dish was above average mainly due to the quality of the oysters used. The oysters also contributed to the soup being quite delicious. The complimentary dessert was quite decent.

The Hakka stir fry was too creative as neither the ingredients nor the cooking method followed the tried and true formula. The liver was too sweet and the texture rubbery. The vegetable was overcooked. The texture of the steamed cod was firmer than ideal.

If I were to go back, I would stick with the dishes that...

Some of the best and most authentic Hakka/Taiwanese food in Taiwan. The place is usually packed so get their early or make a reservation. The menu is large, but everything is hot, fresh, and made to order, not to mention delicious.

The service is great as well. The staff uses touch screens to help place and speed up orders. And despite being so busy and and a little cozy, the place is always clean. Really I can’t recommend this...

The restaurant offered very nice/traditional Taiwanese food. Many dishes could be customized according to customers’ preferences. I personally felt that the food taste was more Taiwanese than Hakka.
