Our visit was on October 7, 2024. It is recommended to book/check availability of space before driving up the mountain road. We just got the last 4 seats, but were not aware how lucky we were, as the food was excellent, and the trip more than worthwhile. The place is small and was very busy when we arrived, we had to wait sometime, but we were informed ahead, and also reminded when we arrived that it will take a while - but then good things always take some times.... But then the food came and we were amazed. The simple appetizers already impressed, simple, traditional ingredients nice presented. When booking we were a bit puzzeled about the sandwich dish, as we could not imagine traditionell food in sandwich style - it worked perfect - wow! Also the menue served that day was very tasty. The desserts, we had chees cake and brownies - yummy. A real great place with very nice hosts/chefs/service. When you like cats as I do - even an other plus.....many of them around the house. What a great experience! The food is prepared with ingredients that are native to the region, and are Japanese inspired. The sets include diverse dishes from sautéed local herbs to rice rolls and homemade tofu with peanut sauce. Everything is delicious and the chef comes over to explain the ingredients that were used creating an unforgettable experience....

Came here as part of a small private tour. The food was amazing and something I haven’t had in the US or in Taiwan ever before.

The taste is so unique! I didn’t quite understand the food introductions, but I believe this is traditional indigenous Taiwanese cuisine.

A “mom and pop” shop but food worthy of a 3 star...
