Yuli is amazing when it comes to veggie food selection. My friend and I went to this restaurant for veggie food and we loved the food here.
The menu has English translation so it's extremely friendly for people can't read Mandarin. We ordered lemon grass & coconut hot pot and French bread. The hot pot was flavorful, mild and warm and the bread was delicious. The boss said that she made the bread herself. We visited the next day for cinnamon soup which I think is OK. The fried spring rolls were a real kick and a must(must eat with the home-made toona sauce).
After the meal I had a little nice chat with the male boss. The food here was very different from Taiwanese style. It was because the female boss was from Vietnam and she was in charge of everything including the making of food. Many ingredients were bought and sent from Vietnam by her parents. She insisted that the food must be the best quality and did not use MSG, fake meat, or any artificial seasoning. The home-made chili sauce and toona sauce was very tasty. We had been looking for a vegetarian restaurant in Yuli as my friend is a vegetarian. I did a google search and discovered this wonderful vegan cafe. It is worth a trip to Yuli to eat here. The food is amazing. Big servings. Reasonable price. Really Tasty. The food arrived very quickly. We had ordered way too much for the three of us but ate it all anyway. This Vegan Cafe/Restaurant I can recommend for brunch, lunch or dinner alone or with friends. It's very quiet place near the main road in Yuli. Everyone who pass by to Taitung or Hualien should plan a rest stop here. Food quality and price is just a class itself. Even for non Taiwanese the food is well displayed in pictures with English names so you will find what you are craving for so easy. Glad I dropped in here with my friend who lives in Yuli.
