My first impressions of the staff was good with the server being very considerate about where we sat and worried that we might be disturbed by the large party that was due. We asked and there is a happy hour, but actually there isn’t unless you’re a member and have reached a certain level of membership. Anyway we got nice samples of beer and ordered pear salad and fish and chips from the extensive menu (available in Chinese and English). The salad was great with dabs of blue cheese, pears and pecan coated chicken. A really nice combination. The fish and chips were okay but not great - a few batted bits of fish in a fairly bland batter and super-garlicky French fries that made the fish seem even blander.
