Best Place... But poor operations... Slow

We found this place recommended by one of our friends.

Last week Thursday we reached and there till Saturday evening.

It is an excellent property with facilities. But as I mentioned above operations are poor, slow and we experienced quality issues.

We were first in cottage/tent accommodation and it was great. But there was less light in thr bathroom. Second day we requested for a change and we were upgraded to interconnected rooms and it had lights. But not comfortable as Cottage/Tent accommodation. Sleep qualitybin Tent was far better than in interconnected rooms.

Food: Breakfast was decent and it included good juice choices. Negative: Found expired syrup and stale bread

Lunch and Dinner: May be it is not a friendly to be having lunch/dinner during weekdays. Even if you opt to have lunch and dinner, please order minimum one hour in advance (even on Saturday for lunch). If you are a Asian food lover, please do not go with a high expectation of getting Rotis, Naans or Chinese dishes. Week days you won't get them. Very few Chinese dishes will be available. Portions are really small and gravy dish was served in a plate. Dish like Paneer Tikka masala had just 4 medium size of Paneer.

Food is the backbone for any such organization. If food is nice, people will return again and again. If the options are less and if the answer is no when a dish is requested from the menu, it would disappoint the visitors.

Support Staff: good and pleasing while talking. But on job very slow and slow in understanding in general. Some are really kind and friendly. Those are the people who are actually pushing the Operations so well.

Cleanliness : Very neat and tidy. The property is very clean and tidy and maintained very well Excellent!!! Full marks to that!

Games & Recreation : Best available. Service and support was good. Excellent facilities. Kids and young people will enjoy a lot. Prices were slightly imbalanced. But can be made attractive

Final words: Best place. Much to improve and can make it a busy entertainment resort. Fun Retreat has lot to offer. But clueless on presentation.

I am optimistic that they shall bounce back with different plans addressing the above described teething issues. If they take this inputs well, I feel they can have a busy operations throughout the week!

We stayed during Easter weekend, the property is really well maintained (except the kids pool), good stocked up bar, good wifi and nice spa (kerala ayurvedic)

The restaurant and some of their policies are a big let down. They start their breakfast at 7.30am we were the first to go there and the hot food wasn't there. we ordered eggs and again till 8am they weren't delivered. Next day I ordered 2 boiled eggs and wasn't delivered to my table in 40 minutes during breakfast when they were hardly anybody.

The kids swimming pool wasn't opened till 11am during high holiday time but they close it at 6pm, the reason they gave for delay was they are cleaning. after starting we went and it was filthy with insects and other creatures

I wouldn't recommend anyone to stay in the property, stay in Arusha town as its just 20 minutes away from any good hotel and just go for a day trip after having a good breakfast in your hotel. Order atleast 2 hours before when you want to eat. Only vegetarian thing i can recommend is Pizza and masala chips. Don't try their Club sandwich the breads are like half inch thick

Our stay at Fun Retreat Resort was one of the worst hotel experiences we’ve ever had. It seems this place is designed only for a specific crowd (mainly Indians), and the quality in every aspect reflects poor standards and zero hospitality.||||Must admit the bed is comfortable and the pillows are fluffy.||||From the moment we checked in, it was one issue after another. We were given a room with a non-functioning toilet. When we informed the receptionist, she was rude and completely unhelpful. Eventually, we were moved to another room – only to find the exact same problem. No one seemed to care or even apologize for the inconvenience.||||To make matters worse, the food was absolutely terrible. It lacked variety, freshness, and flavor – we couldn’t even bring ourselves to eat breakfast before checking out early.||||The staff are unprofessional and poorly trained. The entire resort lacks the basic standards any guest would expect. I would strongly advise anyone to avoid this place – I wouldn’t wish this kind of experience on anyone.||||Save your time, money, and peace of mind. There are far better places...
