What a great find in Iringa! While you may feel that you're about to be murdered if you take a taxi here at night (it's down a long dirt road surrounded by nothing), it's worth the trip.
I had a pasta dish as did my mom and both were excellently made. Mine was the tortellini with meat and a butter and sage sauce, and it was better than the tagliatelle w/mushrooms and sausage my mom got. However both dishes had UNBELIEVABLE pasta. It says homemade pasta and they aren't kidding. It was like the just pressed it out and cooked it perfectly!
They also had an impressive list of liquors, wines, and beer. The service was great and the ambiance was really nice with some wavy curtains opening up to a nice courtyard. With excellent Italian, lots of drinks, and a good ambiance... What more...
Read moreWent here with my friends and we had so much fun and enjoyed the food very much. The place is a bit out of town but very beautiful, calm, and cozy. We had chicken pizza (don't remember the Italian name 😅) which was very good 🤤, the lasagna was good too. One of my friends ordered special of the day which was pork ribs with fries, the pork was soft, tender and delicious but the portion was the smallest I've seen for pork ribs in a restaurant, definitely not worth the price. But overall it's a good restaurant with good services, I would definitely go again.

We were there twice. The first time we took a room; the second time we camped. I was shocked to find such a place. The restaurant served delicious meals, and the staff were helpful and friendly. Everything about Mama Iringa is amazing. Both times they served us a generous breakfast with lots of freshly baked goodies, cheese, meats, eggs, fruit, and delicious coffee.
