We had a wonderful stay at Guesthouse Moonlight. From the moment we arrived, Said and his team made us feel very welcome. Their warmth and hospitality were unmatched. They always helped us with anything we needed, whether it was answering our questions, arranging local experiences, or helping us rent a scooter to explore the island. The food they serve at the small restaurant was really good and always fresh. It costs $10 and the variety is big, with yummy fish. You can tell everything is made with care and love. The guesthouse itself is cozy, clean, and full of charm – but what really makes this place special is the people. Said and his team are doing an amazing job. The garden around the small bungalows is beautiful. You can hear (and probably) see Bush Babys at night. The ocean is a few steps away and very beautiful, there’s beach beds to use. Do the sandbank tour, we paid $60 together and had a great trip. Thanks for...

Moonlight is a mangnific lodge and restaurant situated on the north of Pemba Island with a 3 minutes walk to the beach. The food is spectacular with a variety of fish depending on the fish of the day and the beach is so amazing with white sand, clear water and coral reefs. Nothing better than waking up and walk just a few meters to enter the water and see those colorful fishes and plants on the coral reef. Sometimes they organize parties on the beach on weekends. But the most important is the team, they are so friendly that they made me feel like at home. I really recommend this place and if you can, please stay more than 1 day to enjoy and relax in this paradise...

Probably the best value accomodation for tourists and backpackers in northern Pemba. There's 3 small bungalows available for much cheaper than the local all inclusive resorts like Manta / Aiyana / Pemba paradise. There's hot water and a fan in each room and you can have optional Breakfast, lunch and dinner. It's a only a 2 minute walk to the beach and some of the best snorkeling around. They can also book you boat, flying fox, scuba (Afro Divers) and walking tours if you like. Contact Saidi direct via WhatsApp to arrange your stay +255 772 270 396. To get there you can take a dala dala from Konde for 2000 tzs. Dala dalas to Konde from Chake Chake cost...

Accommodation is quite limited in Pemba and is mainly exclusive, hermetically-sealed resorts. Moonlight Bungalows, a local business, offers an alternative. Situated next to one of the most beautiful beach imaginable (2 min walk), at low tide you can snorkel from the beach. All at an affordable price. Food options are limited, and generally you need to book in advance. In addition to eating at the accommodation, the Ayana is open to outside guests (unlike the Manta Resort). Alternatively, look out for Amesi (on the beach, or just ask around) as he will prepare you a superb BBQ on the beach - this was our best meal on Pemba!

Amazing!! We have been 4 days in Moonlight restaurant bongalow. We went for 1 night and we decided to stay 3 more nights because the beach (200 metres from Moonlight) is just a paradise!!! I have been in many countries, many beaches... But this is the most amazing beach I have ever been!! Amazing sand and amazing ocean full of corals and fishes just 50 metres from the beach!!! Said and Stonin run the restaurant, they are locals (great thing!!!) they are very kind, trying to help you everytime and the bongalows are perfect and good price. Dont thing about it... And go to Pemba, go to Moonlight!!! Go to paradise!!
