We visited The Garden Restaurant with high expectations, drawn in by its beautiful atmosphere — which, to be fair, is the only thing that delivered. The ambiance is charming and relaxing, but unfortunately, the service and food fell far below acceptable standards.

The staff appeared untrained and inattentive, often unsure about basic items on the menu. To make matters worse, many dishes listed were unavailable, leaving very limited options. What we were eventually served was undercooked, poorly seasoned, and honestly quite unpleasant.

It’s frustrating to see such a nicely designed venue suffer from such a lack of quality in food and service. For the prices charged and the hype surrounding the place, this was a serious letdown.

Would not recommend for anyone expecting a proper dining experience — Zanzibar has far better options that deliver both taste...

I had a great time at The Garden Restaurant in Zanzibar. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with breathtaking ocean views and excellent service. The seating was just perfect—comfortable, well spaced, and ideal for a quiet, relaxing meal, whether you’re with your partner or family.

For our meal, I started with the Caesar salad, which was fresh, crisp, and full of flavor. My friend had the chicken wings, which were perfectly seasoned and juicy. We ended with the grilled lamb chops—tender, well-marinated, and cooked to perfection.

What can I say about the food and the service? Simply amazing. The staff were attentive without being intrusive, and everything about the experience felt effortless and high quality.
