Lampang Hideaway is a hidden gem in the city of Lampang. The location at the end of a street and directly at the riverfront make for a quiet and peaceful experience. There is nothing like the morning serenity we experienced, waking up with a cup of coffee made by their barista, overlooking the river.

It's a family business and the owners are determined to make your stay a pleasure. They are a Thai / Dutch couple and their family makes delicious Thai food, but can also serve European breakfast if wanted. They love their coffee shop, and make amazing hot and iced coffees.

The homes are comfortable, with everything you need, and even a bit more. The beds the best I had in Thailand. The homes are beatifully situated, with a view on the river, and right next to the swimming pool in case you want to refresh. It's only for guesthouse guests, so big chance that you'll have it as your private pool.

The owners love to help you get set-up to explore the surroundings, and help you arrange how to get around. My tip: ask them for a driver to bring you to the floating temples, it's breathtaking! One of the owners is a certified tourguide and really knows the good stuff and the right people.

So yeah, definitely worth a stay and not just for one night. Lampang is a beautiful Thai town, where Western tourists are still rare, which makes for an authentic Thai experience...

During our trip throughout northern Thailand we stayed here for three nights, in a beautiful thai-style bungalow along the river. The house is comfortable and clean and has a small kitchen and big fridge. There is a private swimming pool which is great fun! Hosts and staff are extremely friendly and very helpful.
