Mu-Te-Lay — Restaurant in Baan Nam Kem

PRIVATE DINING EXPERIENCE AT Mu-Te-Lay IS INCREDIBLE!!!

After dining at Mu-Te-Lay's main restaurant a couple times during our stay in Thailand, we decided to up the ante on (the already amazing) Mu-Te-Lay experience and book the private dining package on the "sand bar" island just off the coast of the main restaurant, to try something different.

For clarity, this is still catered for, and hosted by, Mu-Te-Lay, however this is the premium dining experience.

Let's just say this experience did NOT disappoint... For context, myself and my partner have both worked in the events industry for 2 decades, so we have high standards.

This experience far exceeded all our expectations!

Every detail was meticulously planned out for us (special thanks to Joy, our organiser). From the menu, right through to transportation, private photographer and even flowers for my partner on arrival.

It's only about a 200 meter boat ride from the main Mu-Te-Lay restaurant, so there was nothing onerous about reaching this magical location.

I also had a broken leg, so I was a little hesitant beforehand about getting on and off the boat. I didn't need to worry about my lack of mobility... All Mu-Te-Lay staff were on hand to carry me on and off the boat. This experience is suitable for guests of all ages and fitness levels.

I was also a little hesitant to book the photographer as I wanted this experience to be super private. Again, Mu-Te-Lay nailed it!

The photographer came armed with a long lens camera and stood about 100m away from our table on the other side of the little island. We barely noticed him, but the photos were amazing.

It was so nice not to worry about taking those obligatory selfies... Mu-Te-Lay have everything taken care of in advance. All I needed to do was focus on my date, take in the wonderful views and enjoy delicious food.

If you want to impress the hell out of your "special person", book the Mu-Te-Lay Private Dinning Experience!!!

Quite simply, it's an unforgettable evening that everyone who visits Khao Lak needs to put on...

One of my friends recommended this place, saying it’s a must-visit. I checked out the reviews, and they were quite impressive, so I decided to give it a try with my family. Unfortunately, the experience didn’t live up to the hype.

We ordered some food, but despite being the only ones there, it took a very long time to arrive. I also ordered a cocktail (mojito), but it tasted like nothing more than sugar syrup—very disappointing. but overall, the food and cocktails were terrible. Best way go evening time take one beer then spend hour that's good enough .

Honestly, I don’t understand how this place has such excellent reviews. I can’t recommend it based on...

Been looking for a cool chill place where I could relax, have some excellent food and drinks and watch the sunset and discovered this very modern and chill bar! Has a real classy look and relaxed vibe and the staff was very responsive and helpful. They really made me feel at home and comfortable the entire time I was there and the food! Oh man the food was excellent and definitely recommend it for the fresh seafood and the drinks were such a treat. Well mixed and good variety. If you’re looking for a cool place with great prices and a chill vibe then I can whole heartedly...
