I’ve been to this restaurant 4–5 times already, and honestly I always liked the food. That’s why I expected Mother’s Day lunch to be nice, but it turned out really disappointing.
The place was packed, and instead of limiting tables they just squeezed in even more. It was so cramped that our knees were almost touching the next table. Every time someone served food, we and the other table had to move around just to let them pass. It felt more stressful than enjoyable.
On top of that, the food service was a mess. Orders weren’t in sequence at all, and people who came later got their dishes before us. Then the final straw — I ordered gourami fish, but they served sea bass without even asking. No explanation, no “sorry we’re out” — just replaced it. Of course I turned it down, but honestly that was super unprofessional.
From what I’ve read in other reviews, this problem isn’t new. Seems like the management issues never improve. To be real, it makes me wonder how this place even got Michelin recognition. Food might be tasty, but when the overall experience is this bad, it just doesn’t feel...
Read moreCame here with a friend, as I saw it was one of the places less crowded to eat crab omelette.
Had crab omelette, crispy catfish with garlic and chili, green thai curry and “3” Big grill River Prawn !
First thing first, the crab omelette was good! Not the best but good ! It has very good amount of crab to egg ratio !
The star of the day had to be the crispy catfish ! It was so good and interesting and never had anything like this before !!
The green curry was alright nothing special.
The River Prawn was so bad ! No seasoning on it and has a really bad fishy taste to it, and over cook !!!
It seem like they didn’t got it fresh or never store it properly !!!
Worst thing about the prawn is that it’s 600 baht each !! Totally not worth it !
PLEASE PLEASE DONT ORDER THE GRILL RIVER PRAWN !
other then that the service was great and the place was a nice local shop !
Totally will come back if I’m around the area to eat the catfish and...

From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere is warm and unpretentious, allowing the food to shine. The ingredients are clearly fresh, and the attention to detail in both spice and texture is impeccable.
What truly sets Garlic apart is how it honors authentic Thai flavors while presenting them with just enough finesse to meet Michelin’s high standards — without losing soul in the process. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable, happy to guide you through the menu and suggest the...
