When you arrive here, you’ll say “wow” at the view; it’s truly beautiful. But that’s where it ends. We received this accommodation as a gift for our birthday. If you come here for coffee to enjoy the view, it’s lovely. But if you’re planning to stay:
There’s nothing to do here. This area is in a part of town where there’s nothing else around. The Wi-Fi in the rooms hardly works. You won’t even be able to stream a video. The restaurant closes earlier than stated, so you may find yourself hungry with no one around in the area. The food isn’t good, not even the Thai dishes. The waitress doesn’t seem happy to have you here—quite the opposite, actually.
The rooms are nice, and the shower is great. However, be prepared to be woken up at night by a lizard, as there may be one in your room. Personally, I don’t mind that.
To conclude, we’re generally modest and not looking for luxury accommodations. But for the price of this place, you expect something entirely different. For this price, you can get a much higher level of accommodation in Thailand. So here, you’re basically paying for the view, and for that, just coming for...
Read moreHad an adventure trying to find this place. Basically the signage is very hard to see and even though we looked at the place on the way up the hill we didn't notice the hidden signage. So we ended up in a restricted military area at the top of the hill. Be careful as the hills (up further past the cafe) are steep and fully squeezing your brakes may not stop your motorbike. Anyway on the way back down we found the place. Nobody else really around on a sunday except for a russian having a very loud voice call disturbing the peace. The staff were very nice. The menu is basically all Thai food except for a carbonara and some very basic things like club sandwich and fries etc. We ordered a matcha cake which was absolutely delicious but to our amusement had 0 matcha flavour. The view of course is also epic. For an added adventure when we left we took the route from cafe to bang wad dam which was also a nice little adventure and possible to do with help from a couple of locals on the way. I would visit again yes but only if I was in the mood for Thai food. Seems they also offer rooms too which looks like it could be...
