Before visiting I had red the reviews here. At first I saw the bad review previous to this one and I was shocked. I am glad the owner clarified it in another review! I asked someone of the staff how the baby elephant is doing. She seemed suprised that I visited while I had red the bad review. She thanked me. I would visit again, but please make some improvements: Don’t let the elephant do tricks. I won’t write down here what kind of tricks, because you need a fair chance to change it, but please stop. They are not in the circus. People like them without doing tricks. Maybe even more so :) Give people information about how to treat the elephants. The tourists I saw today were really rude. Example: Holding the food infront of the elephant to make a good picture, without feeding them. In another elephant sanctuary they told me the elephants only care about food. If you tease them they can get upset. It’s just bullying. Maybe I didn’t see it, but maybe you can make a sign why you started this cafe. I assume you use the income of the cafe to feed the elephants etc.

I think you can really make this work with some...

I visited yesterday. The elephant Mona is the only elephant here. When we arrived, we assumed that since the back of her fenced off area was open that she could roam freely. This is not the case. Mona is chased with a spear every time she goes near the back of her 300 sq/ft area where she shows repetitive movements of stress, covering herself with dirt and repeating the same movements. Only being there 10 minutes it all was clear. The owner wearing a green shirt with elephants on it, yelling at her and getting up to threaten her with the weapon. This experience hurt me, watching it tears at my soul. To the people in charge of this horrible act, please know that your actions will have consequences as I will be spreading awareness. This beautiful gentle animal deserves freedom and happiness. She’s far too intelligent and loving by nature to be harmed or to harm others. So I ask - Why does she not deserve the same? Cafe elephant please look into this, free her to a sanctuary. Give her a better life. This experience will haunt me for the rest of my life wondering what she really lives. Please I...

I have seen the other reviews of Cafe elephant and some were true some weren't first of all there were no entrance fees I don't know if there was any before but they asked me if I wanted to buy a food basket for the elephants for 100 baht I said yes and walked in with the food basket. There were 3 elephants I think 4 elephants before but the youngest one died? That does not make sense. Then I saw the biggest elephant changed to a wooden log which was sad to see next it was very stinky in there.I saw a lump of feces behind the cage it was very disgusting and the cage was very small for 3 elephants.I saw a review with one of the elephant keepers having a weapon and smacking the elephants however there were no weapons at all.I saw the elephant peepers elephant keepers giving the elephants a bath which was nice.Overall I think Cafe elephant can do better than this it was an okay experience just needs more...

We came here as an impromptu plan, it was never part of our itinerary to visit any elephant farms as my partner and I find it really sad to see elephant being “used”. In this cafe, there are only three elephants. Two big mature ones and one seems to be younger as it’s smaller and more mischievous. You are not allowed to ride them nor do them perform like is circus (I assume) but only to feed them. Upon entering, you need to pay the entrance fees. The counter will also ask if you would like to feed the elephants. So for two pax and a basket of sugar cane, it cost 170 baht. They also sell drink and beverage. The soda was average but the coconut was very fresh. Glad that we came to this elephant sanctuary instead of any other. It was a calm atmosphere where you just interact with the elephant and it is also up to the elephants if they want to interact with you - but if you got their food, they will.
