Chiang Mai Smoke House — Restaurant in Chiang Mai Province

Man, I've been meaning to leave a review for awhile. Let's start with people. Mike and his family, which also happens to be how he makes you feel, are wonderful. They are friendly, care about your experience, do the best to accommodate and go round personally to check on everyone when they can. I've worked in restaurants for a huge portion of my life and the atmosphere and how one feels is truly important. Bad meals can be forgiven with great service.

Which is not a problem, as I have never had a bad meal. The legendary buffets spoil you for choice. It is a lovely balance of good old western food which I crave at times, as well as lovely balanced Thai food. Both made with experience, skill and love. Some say 400baht is steep, I understand, but you get what you pay for and more. I think it's a more than value for money. It's a massive family cookout and I love it.

You can also visit this lovely dining house in regular hours, no need to wait once a month or special events. They have everything you love there and waiting.

I contacted through Facebook last saturday to inquire on hours. I was told on Sunday that hours are Monday to Saturday 9-5. Arrived Tuesday morning approximately 10:30. The gates were locked and We had to ring ro be let onto a delapidated property by a woman who asked how we got information about hours. She stated the owner is No longer in Chiang Mai. I had looked over the menu provided on Google as well as facebook showing Strip Bacon for 300฿ per kilo They had 1 frozen package with No date on it available, but the prices had jumped to 500฿ per Kilo When we got the package home and defrosted it there was so much water in the package that our actual weight was near 800 gms. And it was covered in wood coal. In all sincerity this operation should close. It does not provide even the most minimal services that should be supplied to customers. Great place for meats, fish, cheese - Takeaway or delivery

This place is for ordering and picking up or having delivered 1/2kg or more of a variety of foods. They keep expanding the menu, so it's got fish, beef, chicken, sometimes turkey, emmental cheese, and things like pickles, saurkraut, etc. Also, don't forget the lobster. Some of this is imported, some local, all tasty.

Free delivery on 1,000 THB or more, and pick up (call ahead). The first time I went was a great showcase of the kitchen and the smoker, and lots of choices. Some prices are good, some great, depends on what you get.

We got the pulled pork, smoked mackerel, roast beef, emmental cheese. The pulled pork comes in southern sweet or hawaiian style (kailua pig)....
