(Kaeng Toon Pla & Koongfoy)
Green taro with fish and lanchester's freshwater prawn in a spicy and sour soup. Taste better when you have it with sticky rice.
Gaeng Nor Mai Sod Sai Moo (แกงหน่อไม้สดใส่หมู)
Spicy bamboo shoot soup with pork. We highly recommend this dish -- you can add crab paste if you want to try it in a very local style. the recipe from our grandmother.
(Northern Thai Style Bamboo Shot Soup W/ Herbs)
(Add black crab paste 15.-)
Klkd Salad With Buu-Ong Dressing
Green salad mixed with chiang mai sausage, fried pork, fried fermented pork and buu-ong, topped with almonds and cashew nuts. Our special dressing is based on caesar salad dressing mixed field crab fat and mashed chili. You will smell and taste a unique flavour from field crab fat and a little bit spicy aftertaste.
Fries And Buu-Ong (เฟรนช์ฟรายและปูอ่อง)
A new experience for tasting buu-ong. As you may know, buu-ong is usually eaten by the lanna people with sticky rice. But now we don't want it to be just a local delicacy for only local people, we would like to share it with everyone.

Kinlum Kindee is a home-grown restaurant which serves exceptional and authentic northern Thai cuisine. The food I tried were good - pork and liver sausages, deep fried pork belly, bamboo shoot in soup. I wish I could eat more in terms of variety but it was just me. Portions are small, but that is the whole idea - eat more dishes as they are all reasonably priced. Chilli alert - if you can handle the heat - ok, but if you can't, always ask if it's spicy. SE Asians should have no problems. They have recommended sets which you can try. Setting is quite trendy with a touch of the old. Menu is easy to follow in English and is descriptive of the dish including the ingredients and origin. The owners take pride in their family recipes, where they are from and the sourcing of the ingredients (family garden). I say it's authentic because the locals eat here, in fact the one hour I was here, I was the only tourist. I would say this is a good place for a group of friends or family where you can try everything together. Not the friendliest of places as I gathered from other reviews, but they were not rude or inefficient, just lacking in the smiles department - so instead of waiting for a smile, give them...

A very beautifully located restaurant. Lots of good opportunities for photography.

The menu vonsists of mainly Northern Thai dishes.

There is a waitress who speaks and understands English, so communication should not be an issue.

In general, the portion of the dishes are not big, enough for two pax

Pork Crackling The pork has fat inside, which I specifically ordered. Well fried and goes well withbmy Nam Prik and Hang-Lay.

Fried Fish (Nam Prik Nam Psk Pla Ji) This is not the usual fried fish, it is wet and soft inside. By itself, the taste has a fishy smell. When it goes with Nam Prik, the smell is covered. Taste not bad. How I wish they have a bigger serving of Nam Prik.

Fermented Pork Belly with Spicy Sweet & Sour Galangal Sauce The pork belly has a sour pork smell and taste. This is the natural taste. Do not mistaken as unfresh meat.

Northern Thai Style Pork Curry (Hang-Lay) The curry is still my favorite! Very good taste!

A good...

My friends and I were looking forward to eating here after coming across this place on our night out. We ate here on Feb 27.

Unfortunately, I’m disappointed in the cleanliness and employees response to rectify the situation. We found the raw vegetables we order to not be washed properly - there were bugs in the lettuce. This was very sad to see because when we asked for a new one, that second raw vegetable cup also had bugs. When I tried to resolve the situation with the employees by voicing my disappointment, they were reluctant to speak with me. They didn’t charge us for the raw vegetables, but that’s only because we asked to not pay for it.

For a nicer looking tapas style restaurant, you would think the hygiene levels would be better. We also heard a dog barking from the basement kitchen.

Additionally, I wouldn’t recommend this place because it was pricey for the...
