In the swirling, psychedelic heart of Chiang Dao lies a culinary wonderland known as Microkosmos, a place that feels more like a portal to another dimension than a mere restaurant. Stepping through its doors, you are instantly enveloped by an atmosphere that is both trippy and charming, a place where the walls seem to breathe with a life of their own, and the air hums with an unspoken promise of extraordinary flavors.

Microkosmos is not just a restaurant; it's a living, breathing entity, a symbiotic relationship between its enchanting staff and the delectable creations they serve. The personnel here are not just servers; they are guides on a gastronomic journey, each interaction imbued with a warmth that feels almost otherworldly. Their smiles are not mere gestures but a prelude to the symphony of tastes that await.

And oh, the burgers! Each one a masterpiece, a unique flavor explosion that transcends the mundane and catapults you into a state of euphoric bliss. We indulged in every variant they offered, and each bite was a revelation, a testament to the culinary genius that thrives within these walls. Every burger had its distinct personality, a perfect blend of ingredients that dance together in perfect harmony, leaving your taste buds in a state of ecstatic delight.

But the journey doesn't end with the burgers. Enter Kratom, the house drink that redefines your understanding of refreshment. This is not just a beverage; it's a liquid experience, the finest Kratom I've ever tasted in Thailand. It flows with a vibrancy and depth that echoes the very soul of Microkosmos, a drink that refreshes not just the body but the spirit.

And then, there's the herb selection – a veritable garden of delights that promises to elevate your dining experience to new heights. Paired with succulent steaks and an array of craft beers, each sip and bite becomes a moment to be savored, a memory to be cherished. The beers, each brewed with meticulous care, offer a symphony of flavors that perfectly complement the rich tapestry of tastes on your plate.

Microkosmos is more than a dining destination; it's an odyssey, a journey through a culinary cosmos where every dish tells a story, every drink a poem, and every visit an unforgettable adventure. It's a place that captures your heart and soul, leaving you yearning for more, eager to return to this magical haven where food becomes an art form, and every meal a celebration of...

This is much more than just a guesthouse. You will have a full experience of getting to know the two amazing owners and be able to enjoy the craft beer bar they run in the front of the property. The guesthouse is located in the way back of the property so it is quiet and private. The rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable and fitted with private bathrooms. There is also the option to camp on the lawn with shared bathrooms. If you are lucky, Suda will cook for you and she makes an impressive green curry! The bar in the front of the property is cozy and unique for Chiang Dao. I stayed for several days so I was lucky enough to try a lot on the menu. Don't miss the home made French fries and the cheese selection is sourced from local dairy farmers in the North. If there isn't availability at the guesthouse, the craft beer bar is not to miss if you are in the area. The bar feels more like a community because the owners talk to everyone and remember every single one of their costumers! Staying with Ilka and Suda enhanced my experience of Chiang Dao and made me realize how special...

Nach einer weiteren Stunde wird dann geantwortet "You didn't have become your food yet?!".

Visited this local spot on a recommendation from well-known Thailand travel vlogger Paddy. Regrettably, I'm giving this laid-back craft beer spot 2 stars, primarily due to our experience with the food. We ordered two different beef burgers, both of which were severely undercooked—borderline rare. This led to a rough night, with symptoms consistent with food poisoning, which was disappointing and concerning. On a positive note, the venue offers an impressive selection of unique craft beers and a few local non-alcoholic sodas, all served in a beautifully built and decorated space that adds a great vibe to the experience. The cost was over 1,300 THB, which is on the pricier side for Thailand but aligns with expectations for a craft brewery.

We decided to check out this bar because of the good reviews on google map and it wasn’t disappointing. They have so many varieties of beer from different countries to choose from. The owner has a lot of knowledge about brewing. They only have a few things on their menu but whatever’s there, they’re all good. We tried the NZ lamb burger and their Belgian fries are good. It’s one of the places we like to stop by whenever we’re in Chiang Dao. The place has a chill out atmosphere but during rainy season, be prepared to get chewed by mosquitoes. That did’t stop us from going there though. They have the old school video game, Super Mario and Duck Hunt as well — super cool that they still preserve these old games.
