Rossli Swiss Restaurant — Restaurant in Chiang Mai Province

Nice restaurant open to the public approximately 4 kilometres from Doi Saket town centre. Good menu and food with equal parts Swiss German and Italian cuisine and extensive Thai menu.

We used to eat her regularly but like many businesses during the Pandemic it suffered from staff shortages and the quality of the cooking dropped off. I'm pleased to say now that the original Head Chef is back running the kitchen and the restaurant is back to its best.

Very comfortable and nicely decorated restaurant with a large air-conditioned dining room or a beautiful shaded terrace area outside.

Wait staff here are great, very professional, friendly and courteous and headed up by a dedicated restaurant manager.

Probably the best stocked and most extensive bar in Doi Saket, offering everything from nice wines, spirits, cocktails, aperitifs, imported and local beers, you name it they've probably got it.

Inexpensive for the food quality, service and surroundings and each meal served with a complimentary basket off hot freshly baked bread assortment.

They have an excellent bakery there, offering all sorts of bread,pastries, cakes, cookies etc and are now doing twice daily free delivery of bakery products within a 5km range. A small fee of 50 Baht applies if outside this range...

Very nice place with lots of place to sit, and a relaxed atmosphere with very nice people serving you food. 5 stars for this.

But the breakfast was lacklustre for the fact that it is supposed to be a Swiss restaurant. Rosti is not crisp & golden (has no salt too). Bread seems to be from makro. Bacon failed to impress. Fried eggs came as runny bulls eyes eggs. Buffet is way low in terms of presentation and quality compared to small places in town. Overall, couldn't get a sense that this is a Swiss restaurant. 2 stars.

I won't go again. Hot food on COLD plates, my vegetables were stone cold when served. Waitress refused to ask kitchen if they could swap pork schnitzel for chicken schnitzel (to suit Jewish eater). Wine list reduced. 50% of dessert menu not available. Frozen pizza, not homemade and cold on arrival! There was only one other diner but our food took ages to come.
