ENGLISH The Lee Hu Doichang Café is one of the best places in Chiang Rai to sit back and relax with a tepid priest and enjoy something culinary. The café is located away from the bustling centre of the city - about fifteen minutes by car from the Central Festival.
The café & restaurant has a large parking lot and a traditional garden for those who want to stretch their legs in between. The architecturally very interesting main building has a large atrium and looks very inviting.
The mixture of concrete and wood is both visually and functionally impressive and one feels immediately very comfortable. The café is very clean, tidy and has many small niches for the necessary "private space". Dining here is accompanied by jazz and swing, which further enhances the good atmosphere.
The Lee Hu Doichang Café with its good internet connection is also a great place to work on your notebook. That there is also an excellent coffee from the "own bean" is an additional plus - Chiang Rai is known in Asia for good coffee.
The Lee Hu Doichang CafĂ© offers a culinary palette that ranges from small breakfasts to Thai cuisine and western dishes with an Italian touch. We have ordered Laab NĂŒa (minced beef salad) as the North Thai classic and Pad Krapao as the most eaten dish in Thailand.
For the western dishes we also used classics - spaghetti Bolognese and spaghetti Carbonara had aroused our interest. What can I say - everything tasted super delicious and in each case more than authentic. All dishes and drinks we had at the Lee Hu Doichang Café were of best quality and lovingly served - a big compliment to the good and innovative chef!
A great compliment to the good and innovative chef! We were very pleased that all coffee-based drinks were very tasty - which is certainly not least due to the use of coffee from the region - a crystal clear recommendation for the Lee Hu Doichang Café!

Read moreThe building is pretty cool, and even in super hot weather it's not too bad considering there's no AC. The food is actually pretty good, from the labp fusion pizza (the family favorite) to the tomato spaghetti. I would give it four stars for that, but the problem is the service. We had to wait an extremely long time to get each of our dishes, and they forgot to bring 2 of them, which meant another 20 minutes EACH. Then if we wanted, say, another glass of water, I had to get up and go find them to ask them for it. And it's not a one time thing - it happens every time we've gone. Still, the building is cool, the food is good, and most of the seating is pretty nice (we chose a tiny table, but...

It's operated by Leehu family with lots of passion and dedication. 98% of the things here is freshly homemade, the other 2% are food products from another farm. Even the coffee shop was built up by the owner himself. The price of the food and beverage is reasonable or close to cheap and most importantly they are very delicious. Akha pizza is the...
