Panorama Coffee — Restaurant in Chiang Rai Province

After walking along the hills for a few hours, it was great to stop at this coffee shop. At first I rather resented it since I wanted to go straight to the hotel for a rest. But my colleagues wanted to have a cup of coffee first. Upon arrival, I could understand why. It was a nice quiet coffee shop with a small air-conditioned area and a medium size balcony overlooking the Mekong River. The view was great and my colleagues took their coffee while enjoying the serenity...

Panorama coffee uses locally grown beans (Doi Pha Tang). Tied at the most expensive coffee shop in Wiang Kaen but that still means about 1/3 or less of what you would pay at Starbucks. The coffee is good and they get my coffee the way I want it. You can sit in the air-conditioned section or outside on the covered patio-either way with a nice view. There is a small selecetion of desserts and recently added salads and some cooked food...
