The View Chiangkhong — Restaurant in Chiang Rai Province

I was lucky that it started raining right as I was passing this cafe, because it gave me a good reason to stop cycling, take in the view, and enjoy some delicious coffee! The price point was higher than I generally like, but the quality of the coffee was also immediately apparent. What made this place stand out (other than the location and nice aesthetics) was the owner - incredibly friendly with a positive and calming outlook on life. My partner and I experienced a great rain delay here, and even left with a handful of fresh rambutans :)...

Location is good with the Mekhong river and Laos mountainous view. Few indoor dining tables that face to the view. If you are here for coffee - only out door seats allowed to sit; the staff said that sofas are reserved for group dining only. Foods and drinks are various but the taste are just fair.

Only the prices are too expensive, only 1 can of Coke will cost you 60thb and few dishes of food can reach 1,000+ thb.

To driving 15 mins from the towb up to mountains to get here to meet the overpriced F&B plus unfriendly staff is...

Probably one of the coolest coffee shops I have seen in Thailand so far. Many nice seating options overlooking the Mekong river. Really relaxed atmosphere with good service and good choice of drinks. Staff is not very good with English, but they are trying their very best to make it work anyway. So when in the area, definitely plan a stop there and...
