This place is in the middle of nowhere. I can't believe people know about this. Plenty of parking, clean restrooms. Open air dining. Very nice atmosphere. No crowds or wait at all on a Sunday afternoon. Gaeng Som was excellent. Spicy but so flavorful. Definitely recommend. Squid with kai khem (salted eggs) very fresh. Phad phet badook very good to but lots of bones. I wasn't crazy about the squid dat diew ( sun dried squid). Had a mushy inside. Food portions are generous enough to order one plate of several items and share amongst 11 people like we did. Since it's open air, flies like to come and compete for your food. That's the downside. ร้านอาหารแนะนำในสัตหีบ ตกแต่งบ้านๆ บรรยากาศร่มรื่น ร้านอยู่ลึกเข้าไปในซอย ลัดเลาะเข้าไปค่อนข้างไกล มีที่จอดรถหน้าร้านจำนวนมาก ไปช่วงเย็นดูโล่งๆ แต่พอหัวค่ำกลับแน่น ลูกค้าจอดเต็มลาน ร้านนี้เป็นร้านอาหารขึ้นชื่อของเมืองสัตหีบ เมื่อลองหาข้อมูลใน internet จะพบบทความแนะนำให้มาทานที่ร้านนี้จำนวนมาก จึงได้ลองเดินทางมาร้านซึ่งตั้งอยู่ในตัวเมือง ไกลจากชายหาดพอสมควร บรรยากาศในร้าน ไม่ได้ตกแต่งอะไรเป็นพิเศษ คล้ายร้านอาหารตามต่างจังหวัดทั่วๆไป ไม่มีวิวพิเศษให้ชม ไฟในร้านไม่สว่างนัก เมนูบางส่วนจะไม่บอกราคา แจ้งว่าราคาตามขนาดของวัตถุดิบ เช่น เมนูปลาต่างๆ อาหารมีรสชาติเป็นเอกลักษณ์ ใช้วัตถุดิบสดใหม่ ทำให้รสชาติดี โดยมีเมนูแนะนำ ได้แก่ เนื้อผัดกระวาน(รสชาติคล้ายยา ไม่ค่อยถูกปากนัก) ,หมึกไข่แดดเดียวทอด ,หมึกผัดน้ำดำ ,ห่อหมกทะเล(มีเฉพาะวันหยุด) จากที่ลองสั่งมาทาน บางเมนูไม่ค่อยถูกปาก แต่ส่วนใหญ่รสชาติได้มาตรฐานสมกับที่เป็นร้านแนะนำ ปริมาณอาหารต่อจาน เยอะมาก ลูกค้าส่วนใหญ่จะทานไม่หมด ได้ห่อกลับบ้านแทบทุกโต๊ะ แนะนำว่าให้สั่งแต่พอดี ไม่อิ่มค่อยสั่งเพิ่ม พนักงานบริการดี คุยสนุก อาหารมาเสิร์ฟที่โต๊ะ แต่จะไม่มีบริการเติมน้ำให้ ใช้เวลารออาหารค่อนข้างนาน ต้องใจเย็นๆ ราคาอาหารกลางๆ ไม่แพงมาก ต้องเดินไปจ่ายที่เคาท์เตอร์คิดเงิน ไม่มีคิดเงินที่โต๊ะ สามารถโอนจ่ายได้ โดยรวมแล้วเป็นร้านอาหารคุณภาพดี มาทานแล้วไม่ผิดหวัง แต่ไม่มีอะไรน่าประทับใจเป็นพิเศษ จากการหาข้อมูลว่าเป็นร้านแนะนำทำให้คาดหวังไว้เยอะ...
