Nong Bistro — Restaurant in Chon Buri Province

A nice restaurant on siam country club quite close to siam ex pat foods.

We went in the afternoon at around 14:00 but it opens from 13:00. During our time in here there was cleaning or building going on so a garden hose was run through the restaurant and people walking through with dirty shoes leaving a dust trail behind. Also the door was left open and only fan cooled so it was hot! This was an unfortunate situation for us as cleaning etc is usually done before a premises is opened for customers to eat!

The small inconvenience dont take away that this is a very nice restaurant with super comfortable chairs which is is very well maintained. Loads of tables which are set out with good space between them. All tables and chairs are well presented and very comfortable! Menu has a nice variety of thai and western food, not much for vegetarians. the drinks menu has a good variety of beers, wines and spirits to. We saw from an other review there is a lunch special, we were not notified about this or given any special menu. Maybe this lunch menu is just for regulars? My girlfriend ordered the spicy chicken and I went for the vegetarian pizza. All food came well presented, a good portion size and tasty. The veggie pizza had a decent thickness of bread and was loaded with cheese/veg. My girlfriend really enjoyed the chicken complimenting that it had s great flavour and came very spicy as she offered it.

We also took a couple of the more unusual Belgian beers on offer which is a refreshing change.

Service was very friendly and helpful where needed. We went past in the evening and saw it was very busy so looks a favourite with the locals! A very nice place to enjoy a meal but would probably be better in the evenings rather than afternoons or we were just unlucky to witness the cleaning...

An Enjoyable Evening

Always wanted to try Nongs Bistro, and although it's less than 3km from my house this was my first time there! But definitely won't be my last.

I arrived with my wife and two daughters around 6pm and was greeted by two very friendly front of house staff.

We ordered drinks and made our selection of starters from the comprehensive menu. Free bread rolls with delicious garlic butter was served first and the kids dived straight in.

The three starters we ordered were quite significant in size especially the Bruschetta. For my main I opted for the Pork Tenderloin wrapped in bacon, which was superb and the chef was very accommodating when I asked to swap the brandy sauce to green peppercorn sauce.

Too much to type here so all I can say is all the dishes we ordered were of the highest quality.

A plentiful drinks menu, with beers and wines from around the world so there is something for everyone.

Food and drinks are competively priced for a restaurant of this style. Me and the family are already looking forward to our next visit.

This is a beautiful restaurant and is well presented. The table settings are very classy. My girlfriend had the house steak was some type of sauce and mashed potatoes. I had a chicken dish which consisted of two chicken breast with ripe tomato slices covered in a marinara sauce with melted mozzarella on top. It also came with gratin potatoes. My dish was very tasty. My girlfriend's meal on the other hand was a bit unusual, I'm not sure if the steak sauce was wine and based or not but it had a very tangy or sour taste to it. A bit much in my opinion. Also the mashed potatoes had an unusual taste that I believe was nutmeg. In my opinion it made the potatoes too sweet to be served...
