A Must-Try Grilled Shrimp Spot in Ayutthaya! 🦐🔥 If you're visiting Ayutthaya, you can’t leave without trying some grilled river prawns—and this place is one of the best! The province is known for its shrimp, and while there are many restaurants to choose from, this one stands out with its great flavor and reasonable prices. The restaurant is surrounded by other grilled shrimp spots, but what makes this one special is how perfectly they grill the prawns. The texture is still juicy and bouncy, and you can really taste the natural sweetness. I ordered 1 kg of grilled shrimp (they were huge!), asked them to use some to make Tom Yum Goong (spicy prawn soup), and added a separate dish of fried shrimp. Everything was super fresh and flavorful. This place is really popular with locals, so I recommend coming early—around 11:00–11:30 AM. I arrived at 11:10, and by the time I finished placing my order, the restaurant was nearly full. They have 3 seating zones, and two of them were packed already! If you're a seafood lover, don’t miss this gem in Ayutthaya!

If shrimp were a religion, this place would be the temple. Tucked along the road of Ayutthaya, this lunch gem delivers shrimp so fresh they probably filled out a time sheet this morning. Swap riverside with marketside. The grilled river prawns? Massive. Like, “should I tip this prawn?” massive. Heads full of rich, golden fat that made us question everything we thought we knew about flavor—and cholesterol. We went in thinking we’d order light. We left Googling if it’s socially acceptable to drink prawn oil straight. Sides were no afterthought either—spicy dips that slap, rice that actually compliments the meal instead of just showing up, and a riverside view that’s one strong gust away from a full food meditation session. Bonus: zero tourist-trap energy. Just good food, good people, and shrimp that might haunt our dreams (in the best way). Come hungry, leave full—and maybe with a few shrimp shells in your pocket for emotional support.

Tried this popular restaurant in Ayutthaya. The place is quite big with many seatings. And their seafood & river prawns are on display. Of course the specialty is the grilled river prawns and it’s depending on the catch that day. When i visited, 1kg is 500 baht and contains 12 pcs. Got it cooked 2 ways, grilled & stir fried curry. Both were done nicely and the prawns are succulent & juicy with a bit of sweetness. Also got the fried sea bass, tom yum with fish & crab fried rice. The service was really quick as well which is always a plus point.

Great stop for shrimp lover and fish lover. There are various kinds of seafood there. Grilled shrimp 🦐 is recommendation, swimming from water to table. Grilled shrimp has just perfect cooked not too much or not less. Then it caused shrimp has juiciness and clear taste with al dente texture. Fish also fresh here and also clam dish. The other cooking dish not so very good. By the way, this shop has sophisticated grilling master for shrimp with recommended. Overall, the price is really competitive. Must try 🙂.

#泰國大城府Ayutthaya # Kung Phuean Praew(蝦姊妹 大城(Ayuttahaya)位在曼谷北方100多公里,開車約1.5小時的車程距離。在西元 1350 年至西元 1767 年時,曾為泰國首都,有四百多年的輝煌歷史,佛教精髓在此達到顛峰;大城更於 1991 年 12 月 13 日被聯合國教科文組織( Unesco )評定為世界級保護古蹟之一。 來到大城除了參觀古蹟之外,美食當然不能錯過,大城當地具有代表性的美食有三樣,分別是船麵、泰國蝦、以及糖絲捲餅。今天就幫圓桌的各位開箱,連泰國當地人都指名去的泰國蝦餐廳『Kung Phuean Praew』(蝦姊妹餐廳🦐🦞)。 『Kung Phuean Praew』餐廳位在大城的中央市場,這裡是大城烤蝦餐廳最為集中的區域。雖然說是市場,但是這裡的地點是位在類似省道的路邊,交通不算便利,建議自己開車前往最方便。 另外,餐廳的營業時間很長,從早上8點到晚上9點,餐廳的蝦子當然都是養在池子裡的活蝦,現點現撈現烤絕對新鮮,餐廳許多的現撈海鮮是以公斤(kg)計價,相當划算。 像是烤蝦是以蝦子的個頭區別價格,有1公斤380(S) 、450(M) 、500(L) 、550(XL)元四個等級,一份就是一公斤的重量,可能380元的有20隻蝦,550元可能只有10隻蝦,當然蝦子的個頭不同,養殖時間和飼料也不同,越大隻吃起來爽度也更佳,想吃哪種size也是任君選擇。 當然越早來,蝦子的選擇越多,像我們到餐廳的時候已經晚上8點,整個餐廳的蝦池蝦子只剩1kg450元的中型蝦,當然也就沒得選擇。 當日用餐前已經在大城的假日夜市吃過些小吃,所以來這只為一嚐泰國蝦的風味,所以雖然一行7人,但卻沒太大的戰力😅。 餐廳外觀的招牌都是泰文,但不用擔心,店裡的菜單是泰文和英文並列,而且幾乎都有圖片可以參照,可以放心前往用餐,不用太擔心語言不通的問題。 ✅烤大河蝦 1600元 有成年男子手臂長的新鮮大河蝦,1kg售價1600元,每隻大河蝦約半公斤重,這次點了2隻,剛好1kg。大河蝦最厲害的絕對是滿滿的蝦膏,剛烤出來的河蝦,橘黃色的蝦膏可以直接用湯匙挖著品嚐,滋味濃郁鮮美,還可以沾蝦肉吃。大河蝦的蝦肉約莫有小龍蝦的大小,肉質則是緊實Q彈鮮甜,連蝦螯的兩隻腳都能單獨剝肉出來,可見蝦子的巨大,而且蝦肉還能沾蝦膏食用,美味更升級🤤 ✅烤蝦 450元 1kg的中型(M)尺吋烤蝦,一份有14-15隻,現撈現烤絕對新鮮,搭配店家提供的泰式酸辣海鮮醬,相當涮嘴。 ✅蛋包蟹 350元 泰國流行的菜色之一,歐姆蛋包內直接加入乾淨去殼的蟹肉,大口吃不用擔心蟹殼的困擾,煎蛋包香氣十足,蟹肉帶有甜味,完全不辣老少咸宜。 ✅檸檬蒸中卷 340元 酸辣清爽的檸檬汁蒸中卷,中卷軟嫩、醬汁酸中帶辣,相當清爽開胃。 ✅炒空心菜 90元 魚露風味的炒空心菜,完全地道的泰國味,一上桌就被大伙搶食,等到我入座時,只剩照片上的殘餘份量了🤣 ✅蟹肉炒飯 一人份90元 這裡一人份的蛋炒飯只要50元,蟹肉炒飯也只要90元,真的是便宜到沒朋友了吧!而且,炒飯顆粒分明鑊氣足,蟹肉雖然份量不算多,但也是去殼的蟹身肉,絕對超值的美味。 雖然地點離大城的古蹟遍佈的主要觀光區有一段距離,但如果來到大城,確實值得來體驗看看這裡平價的美味烤蝦。
