Rallis Greek Restaurant Taverna — Restaurant in Hua Mak Subdistrict

This place is worth the time and effort to get here. It was a lovely way to spend a Sunday afternoon and we all look forward to returning again. The lovely hosts (two British Greek-Thai brothers, their Thai mother and partners, their dog, cat, rabbits, and tortoises) alone are worth it but, of course, the food....the atmosphere....and, oh, the food. As a Greek I was feeling really sad to not find any authentically Greek food in town other than at over-priced touristic places in the center of town but the idea of traveling out to this area was a bit intimidating. However, discovering their 600 baht all-you-can-eat Sunday menu (not buffet-style, so it's all cooked to order) enticed me to gather an international group of friends and to share taxis and come out here. We didn't want to leave. Sitting outside in their garden courtyard area, listening to Greek music, having delightful conversations with Alexis and Achilles, and sampling all the yummy food made us all want to linger longer. They make their own Greek yogurt, ouzo, retsina, baklava, and cook their own lambs in their underground BBQ pit (you can even order an entire shoulder of lamb or more in advance for your group). The dolmathakies (small dolmades, aka stuffed grape-leaves), the tzatziki (greek garlic cucumber-yogurt dip), Kalamata olive tapenade, lamb, their homemade yogurt with Thai honey, and their ouzo and retsina were our favorites. Thank you for a lovely afternoon and thank you for all you do giving back to the Thai community. Σας...

A definite return. Finally great Greek food in the Ramkhamhaeng area, Soi 44!

Atmosphere is like a casual Greek dinner party. Simple open style seating.

Service was just OK. Alex came in to save the day, and explain the background and assure the authenticity of the food. He was spot on.

Food. The menu did not over-promise, but certainly delivered a 5/5. Generous portions and very authentically Greek. I have the gyros Greek salad and the lamb chops, awesome. Great with a Greek beer!

Price was in line with the food and experience.

Overall cleanliness was good and washrooms were fine.

Good for families and friends, best with more people so you can order and enjoy more selections.

What's special/unique about this restaurant is the quality and authenticity of the food.

One slight downside was, the patrons at the bar were smoking, so they took away from the experience and taste of the food. Next time I'll look for an upwind table.

I'll definitely return!...

Feel the heritage, Taste the Culture !

This place is creeping up on my favorite place to eat in 2024 list. They took their time to prepare one of the best Greek/Mediterranean one could ask for in BKK. I went for their deluxe set and boy the portion could definitely feed 4 (not 2 unless each person eat half a kilo of meat). Excellent seasoning on their lamb chops - n goes really well with fresh lemon. Their pitas/chips - definitely some love n pride went into making it, unlike many places that treat these sides without much considerations. As for the service, quite attentive to be honest. They notice me itching from mosquitoes bites so they brought two fans n a repellent spray to rescue. If ur looking for fancy petite food this place might not be it but if you are looking for laid back place with GREAT food - u bet this place will deliver. I do feel that I get MORE than i paid for at Ralli's.
