Lakeview Cafe and Restaurant — Restaurant in Kanchanaburi Province

Had lunch in Jun 2024 atmosphere and view. No wonder why people come here. “It’s for the gram” Indeed located by the lake, making the atmosphere of the place is beautiful service. Perhaps we are just not custom with typical service in Thailand but was not clear how their system is. Can we just go grab seat or wait in line.. tried to ask staff but no clear answer (language is the barrier) food is just OK. But again, it is expected for a place that is selling the atmosphere however the worst is just the amount of FLIES around. They are flocking the table and the food. The restaurant also have no effort to make it better Just uncomfortable for us to eat while battling with the flies

The restaurant is either very understaffed or very unorganised, or maybe both.

We were there during peak hours i.e. lunch on long weekend. We were told the food and drinks would be slow, and we expected it. It turned out food and drinks were extremely slow, around 1 and a half hour for simple dishes. They also forgot some of our orders, which took it even longer and unpleasant to wait.

We could not blame the service staffs, though, as we saw only 2 waiters, 2 baristas, and maybe 2 chefs (not sure as did not go into kitchen).

The weather was extremely hot, the restaurant is not air-conditioned, and there are tons of people walking around. So the atmosphere was pretty unpleasant.

Definitely worth a stop for taking beautiful pictures and ambience. Very picturesque. We ordered food and went to take some photos. When we came back to our table the food was full of flys and none of the waitresses made any effort to help us shoo them away. I found it awkward that they would leave the food like that. They were very inattentive and were on their mobile phones throughout the one hour that we were there. Food was awful. We ordered fish tom yam and it was way too hot. Suggest just to come for photos and maybe have coffee. Forget...
