Amazing!! We love it!! Chaiâs Cuisine and Farm is an awesome family run restaurant and cooking school run by Khun Chai and his wife Khun Rutt down in Namuang (southern, quiet part of Samui). They are the loveliest couple, they grow their own vegetables, and over the past few years they have built the sweetest little farm, restaurant and cooking school. We usually go with a small group of friends and let Khun Chai decide the menu for us- itâs always delicious. I recommend the Massaman curry, Banana Flower salad and prawns with black pepper or prawns with basil and chilli. Khun Chai and his wife will cook you several courses of traditional thai food made from local and seasonal ingredients. They cook right next to you in their outside kitchen which is a nice touch. It feels like youâve been invited into their homeâitâs really something special. And on top of that, Chai is a very interesting and passionate man (not just about cooking, but about literature etc) with lots of cool stories and interests if you are up for a chat.
Trust me, itâs a must try. The...

My family of four had the table to ourselves where we ate six courses that started simply and became more sophisticated as the meal progressed. Itâs a little remote but you sit in a beautiful rustic spot and are entertained and fed by this great couple who obviously love to cook and entertain. We all loved it and felt like we got a little of the old Samui from before the tourist explosion. Make the trip itâs...
