Bac-a-Sable — Restaurant in Krabi Province

A visit to the restaurant in this resort was one of the highlights of our trip to Thailand. We were exploring the Tha Lane area and stumbled across this resort and decided to head there for dinner. The food was excellent and reasonably priced, but this was in itself over-shadowed by the exceptional atmosphere and reception that we received from the staff. As our food arrived, our six month old son decided that he also wanted his dinner. Within seconds of noticing that we were trying to feed our baby and eat at the same time one of the waitresses rushed over and offered to feed him his bottle for us. He was whisked away to be doted on by all of the staff in the kitchen whilst never being out of our sight. Given the good reviews, we were looking forward to eating here. However, we were a bit disappointed. The squid we had was chewy, the french fries were undercooked and cold. The drinks served were not cold (I know, it’s Thailand, but they were lukewarm from the moment they served them).

Additionally, the bill was incorrect. Some drinks we ordered never came, yet they were listed on the bill. Despite our request, the staff refused to remove them, which we found ridiculous.

The only reason it’s not a one-star review is the view and nice setting...

Cuisine savoureuse, tout est fait maison par une équipe accueillante et attentive à ses hôtes, tout en sachant respecter respecter leur tranquillité. Un endroit inédit pour se restaurer en amoureux ou entre amis ; en étant client du splendide hôtel du Passe-Temps attenant, ou en étant juste de passage.
