We are currently enjoying our second stay at Mayalay Resort, this time for 8 nights. We came here for 4 nights last month and immediately knew that it wasn’t going to be long enough, so booked to return three weeks later as we had already made plans we couldn’t change. We are so glad we came back! The food in the Maya Restaurant is amazing, always fresh and delicious. The staff, especially Oscar & Yan, have looked after us so well. Ngai is the Thailand we enjoyed 30 years ago, no hotels or motor vehicles, it’s paradise. If you come to Ngai, you must come to Mayalay Resort and the Maya Restaurant. They are the best on the island. We are already making plans to return with friends next year.

AJ the manager is so welcoming and nice, there's a good happy hour and the live music is absolutely brilliant. A must visit on Koh Ngai! We can't wait to come back and stay here next time.

Wir haben zweimal dort gegessen. Grundsätzlich kann man sagen, dass die Preise etwas höher sind als auf dem Festland aber über Koh Ngai in etwa gleich. Ich hatte einmal Shrimp Pasta (sehr lecker). Ansonsten hatten wir noch eine Pizza. Diese war auf jeden Fall nicht aus dem Holzofen, der vorne am Strand steht. Angeblich gibt es in der Küche nochmal einen. Das konnte ich aber nicht nachprüfen. Die Pizza war ok. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich aber hin und wieder gab es etwas Verstädnisprobleme auf Englisch.

We are so glad we came back! The food in the Maya Restaurant is amazing, always fresh and delicious. The staff, especially Oscar & Yan, have looked after us so well. Ridiculous. Wood oven pizza was not. Never saw a real oven. Do not bother ordering it. Fish burger i left it untouched. Reaked of ancient bottom of the sea so much, that even the bun was inedible. Girlfriend had a taste and immediately regretted it, got drunk as a precaution to...
