Good food with spectacular views. Welcoming and helpful hosts. The pad see ew was so good!!! One of the best I've had. The vegetable spring rolls were fresh and crunchy. The smoothies we had were also flavourful and refreshing. Very satisying after a bit of an uphill hike up the road. A relaxing lunch surrounded by nature. Not overpriced like some other viewpoints lol.
And the views are magnificent, even when the weather is stormy. There's another viewpoint a short walk further, you can see a bit of the ocean as well.
It's a family run business and the owner told us about how they were the ones who developed the roads leading upto the viewpoint 27yrs ago. Inspiring!
The owner even offered to get us a taxi from the cafe to our hotel in Ao Nang Beach area for 350 baht. As in the car would come straight to the cafe parking area (which is rare, but the owner says cars can come, they just don't want to haha). Since it is difficult to get a Grab there, and the weather was getting worse. She and her husband are very helpful, absolutely lovely people. One of the staff even lit a mosquito repellant near us. Excellent service overall.
There were some very cute chill cats lounging around.
About getting there: if you're getting a Grab/Bolt some drivers will not go up the hill and will drop you off at the foot of the hill. But nothing too steep honestly. A scooter can get up and down with experience. It may be slippery if it is wet, so take caution. There are street lights around 100-200meters away so may not be extremely well lit. And it is surrounded by forest so you might get...
Read moreGoogle Maps doesnât show the point of entry to this place so you have to search for it. I recently added it on Google Maps as âTrail to Kuan Nom Saow viewpointâ. So if you search for it, that should come up. Otherwise, if you click on this location and use the Directions, it shows you a walking spot that is not accessible since itâs surrounded by trees and trails for tree planters. You will not get here with the Google Maps Directions for this location. You have to search for the entry point which Iâve added.
I give this place 5 stars for the view, but certainly not the way up. The path up here is best done on a sunny day or preferably not after a day of rain. Otherwise, the path can be muddy and extremely difficult. Plus, it gets steep at the end.
When you get here, the view is worth it. Thereâs a hut CafĂŠ which serves fried rice, some snacks, and a basic drinks. The view is worth it but itâs a mild adventure to get here. The view is a panoramic perspective of the limestone cliffs closest and also all the way off in the distance. Really amazing! The owner of the hut CafĂŠ is friendly and has slowly worked on setting up this amazing spot. Kudos to him for doing all this on his own!
I have posted the photo of the entry point sign to this location. Just make sure to search for âTrail to Kuan Nom Saow viewpointâ. You will see the entry...

Kuan Nom Saow Restaurant and Viewpoint is truly a special place tucked away on the hillside of Krabi, Thailand. The location is perfectâperched uphill with a breathtaking 360° panoramic view. If youâre lucky enough to get a seat on the balcony or along the side, youâll be rewarded with some of the most beautiful scenery around.
The restaurant itself has a charming, slightly hippie vibe, with creative decorations that show the owner has a great eye for detail and design. There are plenty of seats, and everything feels thoughtfully arranged.
As a Muslim-owned restaurant, the menu is pork-free, but they offer a good variety of seafood, chicken, and fish dishes. The food and drinks were tasty, and I appreciated how clean and well-kept the toilets were too.
What stood out the most was the service. Even though itâs located on a quiet hill and doesnât always have many guests, the staff went above and beyond to make me feel welcome. After I finished my meal, they even suggested I visit the nearby camping spot for an even more spectacular viewâsuch a thoughtful touch.
If youâre in Krabi and looking for a peaceful spot with amazing views, great vibes, and heartwarming hospitality, Kuan Nom Saow is definitely...
