As we entered, we walked through what seemed to be a former living room adorned with plenty of old dÃĐcor that whispered stories of the past. Our visit was a second attempt, as our first try was thwarted by the restaurant's popularity with locals. It was a scene of chaotic parking with the car park completely full and a trail of vehicles spilling onto the narrow road leading up to the entrance. Having learned our lesson, this time, we arrived early. We just had to wait a little till after 5pm. We were not aware that the restaurant takes a break midday between 3pm to 5pm so that they wonât work their staffs to death. The wait was worth it. As we were treated to a lovely seating area by the water, nestled in a cozy corner that felt like our own private sanctuary. The restaurant offers both indoor and outdoor seating options, including wooden air-conditioned cabins that add to the rustic charm. Serving traditional Thai cuisine, every dish we tried was a flavor sensation. From classic favorites such as the stewed pork with hardboiled eggs, to more obscure regional specialties like lotus roots salted fish coconut soup, each bite was a testament to the kitchen's skill and dedication to preserving Thailand's culinary heritage. If you're looking for a genuine, homey dining experience that showcases the best of Thai cuisine, this restaurant is a must-visit. Be prepared for a possible wait and plan your visit accordingly.
