Arriving in Bangkok today, I was excited for some delicious Thai food. After our first day of golf, we went to a restaurant with open-air seating surrounded by a water pond, creating a fantastic dining experience. Live music added to the ambiance, enhancing the Thai dining atmosphere.
Some must-tries when it comes to Thai food are the Thai fish cakes and prawn cakes, which are deep-fried and served with a sweet and spicy dipping sauce. They were delightful. The grilled seafood, particularly the clams, mussels, river prawn, and baby lobster, was fresh and delicious. The crab was prepared with the shell removed, making it effortless to eat and very enjoyable.
The local stir-fried vegetables with spices and Thai satay were also fantastic. The highlight of the meal was the fried pork knuckle Thai style, with moist meat and crispy skin, especially when dipped in the accompanying sauce—I couldn't stop eating it! Food on the other hand is so so only, not heavily flavored as I get used to Malaysian food, their tomyam is overly seasoned and has become very sour, not dare to try more but I only take a few sips and off for another dish. The fried dish is the best due to the freshness of the ingredients and also they way they maintain the crispiness of the food. If you are not used to Thai spicy foods 🥵🔥, I'll recommend to be seated in the air conditioned table, and tell the waiter to lower the spicy degree, "ped noi" in Thai . Their cafeteria also serves a variety of coffee-tea and fruit-blended drinks. The staff is very helpful. We asked for any discount promotion.
