From a local, this rest would be 5 stars to me but for one bad visit experience; This hard to find place serves western and fusion food, Japanese, Korean, some Mexican, the menu will take you a couple minutes to work thru; The main seating area is in the back building, aircon with a second floor, pleasant but the acoustics are bad, noisy Thai group at next table and you will want to leave; The food quality is quite high, English is spotty, parking isn't great 3-4 spots streetside, bathrooms ok; The bad experience was arriving in a group of 3,rest was 3/4 full, junior staff, then a senior staffer couldn't figure out how to seat us, while we were leaving, never seated, we saw an obvious 4 seater table in front by the coffee shop(which was the old dining area) close to the kitchen, I would go back for the food but, as there are other good options... update 22020327: 3 people visit: in the top tier of best restaurants in the area; this from a local; by Far the most intriguing international menu of anywhere within a 60 km radius; fusion western, korean, mexican; in fact that excellent menu (almost all items have pics) will challenge you; big, a number of intriguing items; allow 5 minutes for that menu; there is a food menu and a drink menu ; drink menu is 10 pages long and is by far NOT your standard 'drink menu'; it has alcoholic beverages/cocktails, non alcoholic, coffees, teas, other indiginous specialties of the countries that are supported by the food menu; so you could have a korean tea/coff, a korean cocktail and a korean dessert drink for example; the decor is neo western, the building in air con and is about 3 years old; parking isnt great; our server was helpful and smart but when i tested her english it was lacking; no issue for me but some might find that challenging; the food quality was excellent; the korean 'stew' was more a soup but was very good; the kimchi (which i eat daily) was not particularly tart, sour or spicy but still quite good ; there are a number of salmon dishes on the menu , my spicy salmon salad was great; the grilled chinese dumplings surprisingly good, had a lot of flavor for a normally bland dish; the prices are understandably higher to support some of their eclectic dishes but given the good portions, the excellent flavor and the fact you cant get these dishes elsewhere in this area, i would conclude that the prices are very fair; clean western bathrooms; note : this is the building in back, the front building (their old solo location) is now a coffee shop highly recommended overall; photos added Update 20220513 Photos added, another excellent dining experience

Read moreThis place was hard to find from the outside but well worth the backing up on the highway and turning around to re-park. The entrance is actually in the building behind the one on the highway. It's a lovely, eccentric, and serene spot with nice toilets and wonderful food. The day we went they were short-staffed so it took us going into the kitchen to place our order and to ask questions but, fortunately, we weren't in a hurry and we were glad we waited. The owners / chefs obviously care a lot about what they do as they have put a lot of love into the place and their staff all work very hard but seem to enjoy being there. The Mexican pizza, the french fries, and the Korean Bibimbap were spectacular. The best bibimbap I've had in years and the pizza was fantastic eaten both hot and cold for breakfast. The fries were so tasty, they were obviously frozen from the store. Good vegetarian options. There is entertainment for kids and seats upstairs and down and even a little garden outside. Even the toilets are nice. I wished I lived nearby so that I could frequent this place and try everything...
Read moreWhat an adorable little restaurant! Built to look like it was set up in a garage, the furniture is made with a machine-shop like design. I’ll get the downsides out of the way real quick; the place needs a couple repairs, the stairs seem a little flimsy as a chubby guy, and I’m still adjusting to Thailand’s bathrooms.
Good enough. Now on with the good stuff. I love this place! The Industrial architecture combined with the menu options and how they are presented on the plate down to the plates the food is presented on all combine to what I felt to be a comfortably classic rock experience. Everything fits together very well and is inviting in a cafe lover meets motorcycle mechanic sort of a way. If you’re in Chiang Rai and you want some good food in a place that feels like fixing a bike with dad while mom whips up a great meal, come spend some Baht here and bring friends.
Try the smoked salmon pizza. Two slices are missing in my photo because it smelled so good I...
