Pha Hee Coffee — Restaurant in Mae Sai district

I’m a solo traveler riding bike to there and stay for a night. Easy to communicate in English and make booking through facebook. Arrived there by 5.30pm. Pretty cool weather. Room is cozy and well prepared with towel, bottle water... Toilet is clean and spacious, water heater is functioning well.

Room rate included 2 meals (dinner & breakfast). They still cooked for me a full portion meal even though I’m just alone. Of cause I can’t finish mine... lol

Delicious homecook dinner and breakfast. Missing it badly! And of cause their coffee is a thumbs up! Sipping latte in foggy weather, what a view!

And this place in very less lights pollution. So unbelievable, I can just capture the milkyway directly from the room from 9-11.30pm. (No need so hard in hiking climbing high to mountain... or go to the beach....haha) Picture shown is 11.15pm with lesser clouds.

Weather is cool and have a wonderful rest and time there. Definitely will comeback again if visit Chiang Rai next time. Thanks Muilah!

(November 2023) It took us nearly 5 minutes to find the correct place since the signs with arrows didn’t quite make sense. I think you have to walk down the slope after you park your bike. The café should have red umbrellas.

We ordered chicken nuggets and fries, I know it’s not the best food to get in Thailand but we were craving it. It was okay-ish, average frozen food 🤷🏻‍♀️ Not sure if I looked overconfident or if they always let the customers brew their own coffee but I was very excited when I saw the kettle 😅💪 I had zero expectations for the coffee but it surprisingly turned out to have hints of acidity! Beautiful motorcycle ride up steep narrow roads to this Akha village that grows great coffee. Great tasting black coffee, espresso and Americano at Pha Hee Coffee. Nice overlook location with dining looking out over the notch in the mountains to the city of Mae Sai far below. Good grub too, fried rice with chicken excellent.
