Banyakart Khao Yai — Restaurant in Nakhon Ratchasima Province

Now I totally understand why we had to pay just to get in (fee can be used to offset food and drinks). I wanted to step out the moment I was in, but because I already paid, the money side of my mind was against my decision. So, kinda forced to go buy coffee to swallow, and walked around a bit. Show and tell I will, and you be the judge of the worthiness. Every time I was in Khao Yai for a weekend getaway, I had never had the chance to visit this café because the parking lot was always filled to the brim. Guests were always overflowing out of the entrance. Finally, I had a chance to satisfy my curiosity on a Monday morning when there was not a crowd. There are photo corners everywhere, each saturated with oddities which makes good as curious props in frame. Shiny shiny things everywhere. Mirrors, reflective tables, polished metal wall art, arty metal bench, so many. And then there are those round mirrors they put here and there as if for us to look at traffic around a corner on a narrow road. Reminds me of road safety park. Once can sense it immediately, the overpowering aura of artificiality. Every single vibe is just like a manufactured mood. Despite their clear effort to impress with décor, the charm just doesn’t quite land. The place feels more overdone than inviting. Also, on close observations, many of the props were in various stages of aging and looked tired with deterioration. How about the food and drinks. Well, it felt pricey compared to most of the similar cafes I’ve visited. That said, the place is made with one thing in mind, and that is to target the hunger for glamour in each one of us. Honestly the place is nice but the price to the quality of drinks is not very good. The coffee is quite expensive campare to the quality that I get. Plus we pay for 4 people THB 400 to enter with a coupon that would worth THB 400 to us at the cafe. We order 2 drinks and croffle worth around THB 500, when we try to use 4 coupon we got notify that to use all 4 we need to order 4 things. I dont mind paying for the entry fee because we understand that all things have cost. But we really dont understand the concept of having to order 1 things each even if we already pay for it. Instagramer will like this cafe studio where it is serving coffee and food. In my opinion, I think this cafe is made for photography because the coffee taste is simple (medium roast) and cake is so so. The price is quite high, I think it is beyond average for the coffee and cake price. If you're looking for a place to take a photo, I recommend it but if you're a coffee lover, you can skip it.
