We had a wonderful family lunch at Chaw Barn Khaoyai. The restaurant is beautifully designed with a rustic, cozy atmosphere and high ceilings, giving it a spacious yet warm feel. It’s surrounded by nature and feels very peaceful – perfect for a relaxing meal. The food was great – fresh, flavorful, and beautifully served. While most of us enjoyed Thai dishes, our son had the carbonara, which was creamy, tasty, and kid-approved! It’s nice to see that the menu also has options for children or those who prefer international dishes. The staff was welcoming and attentive, and the overall service made us feel right at home. It’s definitely a family-friendly restaurant where both locals and international visitors can enjoy a good meal together. We’d happily come back next time we’re in Khaoyai!

Had a disappointing dinner at this restaurant. The prices are high and the food not that great. We ordered mushroom soup and returned it because it was inedible. It was spicy in a way we couldn’t eat, but it wasn’t mentioned in the menu as a spicy dish (as other dishes were). In addition my husband ordered grilled pork with grilled sticky rice and got steamed rice instead. We asked for what we ordered because we thought it was a mistake and then the waitress told us the sticky rice is sold out. They could have mentioned it before we ordered. When we asked for the check one dish was priced higher than in menu, so we had to call them again to correct the error. All in all we don’t recommend. Over priced and overrated for what you get.

We were visiting Khao Yai and discovered the Chow Barn Restaurant. It’s a very nice restaurant just off the road, with good decor. The staff were welcoming, knowledgeable and very polite. We were wanting just a light evening meal after some decent meals earlier in the day. We ordered crispy pork belly & coriander salad and rice & fermented pork in banana leaf. Both of these meals were great. Good, fresh ingredients, cooked perfectly. Just what we wanted - something light yet good and tasty. This chef also knows how to plate food. Simply lovely. We will come back to Chow Barn and spend time over a full meal - we now know it will be great.

I was very disappointed by the restaurant. The hotel stay was great and I was looking forward to enjoy a dinner in this place. Was met with so many disappointments. First, the staff didn’t seem very enthusiastic in serving us. Second, the food came was either too salty or no taste. The greatest disappointment was the Korat Chicken which was supposed to be signature. The chicken was so hard and tasteless. We didn’t even bother to finish the chicken. I thought the dessert would make a difference at the end but I was wrong. The Lod Chong was hard and it was too sweet. I will definitely recommend the hotel stay but not eating in this restaurant. I am not sure if they are linked …. But they certainly need to relook at this as most residents of the hotel will like to try the in-house restaurant. Such a let down...
