Why EL Cafe Khaoyai deserve 1 star: Location very secluded. There was an abandon plot of land next to the cafe. A bit creepy. Noise pollution due to a huge house or resort under renovation on the other side of the cafe. Very poor service. I understand you guys are not fluent in English. At least a greeting or smile will do. I ordered 3 trays full of drinks and food. They did not even help to hold the door when they have so many staff behind the counter. I understand we were expected to carry own tray. Discrimination of customers. There were a Thai couple sitting down. But a staff helped to send food & drinks to them. While we foreigners with little children have to carry own tray. Tasteless drinks I've ever tasted in Thailand, such a shame. Children as young as 5 years old are also expected to buy a drink. Don't tell me that babies also have to buy drinks. Very silly policy. The vanilla & blue milk were horrible. Even adults can't drink. Mocha are tasteless. We did not finish our drinks. I think the roadside drinks are much better. Even though we can afford the menu there, they are not worth every bhat. Croissants, mediocre. Sad. Landscaping is ok nice but not the best. I've been to better cafes in Khao Yai. Very dangerous pavement for kids or those with eye sight problem. Highly do not recommend for parents with children. No credit card accepted. Only cash or QR. My country bank does not allow QR transfer to personal account for security reason. Be prepared a lot of cash if visiting Khao Yai.
Only thing that is nice here is the mountain view. "Thanks" to those "influencers" who promote this place, such a scam. Do read other 1 star reviews. They seems to be true. Utterly disappointed...

Outright dangerous for young children. Below average food. Below average coffee.
The scenery is nice in parts but there isn’t really a place to sit and enjoy it - endless people walking around trying to capture their perfect shot. Some parts of the cafe are surprisingly tatty.
The rock path running through is a trip hazard for everyone and especially young children - someone will crack their head open on it sooner or later if they haven’t already.
One of the seating areas has an un-fenced 1m drop to a retaining wall. I hate to think what could happen if a toddler went exploring under the table.
Everyone in our group rated their drinks so-so (although they were all pretty and well presented). My hot latte was far too milky and not enough coffee. For food, the fruit waffle thing was ok but the fruit was substandard. The lava croissant was unexpectedly sweet and not to my taste. Although, as a positive, I did genuinely enjoy the cream cheese garlic bread. If you’re eating here this is the only one to get.
So, all in all, a total waste of time for me. I wanted somewhere to get a good coffee and sit in a nice area with the kids - I guess I’m old fashioned and like things that are actually good rather than things that can look good in...
Read moreI only wanted to have nice iced coffee to drink while driving back to Bangkok. Decided to stop by this cafe because of good review. The valley view looked lovely but unfortunately there was construction in view. It's busy with people sitting inside and taking pictures at instagram-worthy corners they provided. Too hot to sit outside obviously.
I had coffee (iced latte). Far overpriced in my opinion. No smell of coffee.
Other reviews praise their croiffle. I guess baked menu is probably better. Good for taking pictures or sitting down with friends if that's...
