A turret of fun! For me this place was a great experience in terms of ambiance and architectural design. I particularly liked walking around the outside of the building, taking the pictures both in the front and back. They have a nice size turret, which I tried to go up but it was locked, bummer. Inside the main building was a great hall with a huge dining area. A large curved staircase went up to a small dining area with access to a second story balcony. This brings me to main reason why I enjoyed this place, the dining area out back. In the rear of the building, was a large porch, amphitheater, and several layers of dining levels leading down the slope. This was all done giving you a lovely view looking out to the east. I had a really good time sitting at our table, drinking and enjoying the view. Down below was the manicured field, and a well kept farm house. It was a signature view as the valley stretched outward into the background. To be honest I didn’t really pay to much notice to the food because I was still really full from eating earlier that afternoon. Sooo, I didn’t eat that much and won’t comment too much other than to say the croissant was delicious. I also had some Thai fried fish, which was good, but also typical of other Thai restaurants. Oh yea, almost forgot, I did enjoy their pizza very much, crust was thin, light and crispy. Overall, I can recommend this place if you want to chill outside at a cool building, drink and eat, enjoy a wonderful view of the countryside, and listen to easy listening music. One thing to note, on the day my friends and I went, the bakery, didn’t start putting some of their desserts out until around 6:30 PM. I kind of got the feeling we should have arrived a little later, maybe 5:45 - 6:00. This would have also have given us more time to enjoy the beauty of the lighting as...

Most travellers would visit this Scandinavan-Style Castle with both indoor and huge outdoor dining areas, when they are in Khao Yai. Reservation require for diners, especially during peak season.

We were overwhelmed with the exquisite settings when we arrived for dinner. It was busting with travellers taking photographs of the castle and its surrounds, while waiting for dinner time.

We were ushered to our table on scheduled and ordered the following dishes:-

-Pork Ribs With BBQ Sauce. Ribs were well seasoned, tender, sweet and smoky. Paired well their blend of BBQ Sauce and chunky crispy potato fries with fresh salad greens.

-Pad Thai (V) had a good blend of sweet, sour, salty and mild spicy flavours with chewy rice noodles and mushrooms.

-Mixed Cheese Pizza had crispy, yet light and airy crust, evenly baked with no soggy spots. Toppings of various cheese did not overpowered the dough, thus every bite was enjoyable.

Although all 3 main courses were good but they were not fantastic in terms of flavours and texture.

However the overall dining experience was great, especially after sunset when lights were on and a Live Band performing against the backdrop of the Castle. Even though its typical in Thailand to have such a setting (Live Band and Dinner), but the Castle in the background is unique. Some may not like the loud volume from the Live Band though but i am fine with it as its felt concert like.

Service wise, we had to forgive the service staffs for not being attentive and efficient, due to the huge dining area. We had to hunt for them to take our orders and get what we needed during serving period. However, they started to be more attentive after most patrons got their meals and were most efficient when we...

I was there in November 2019 for dinner. The place had an amazing Christmas theme decoration. The selfies lover or self photographic will love it here. In that day (Saturday) it was very busy I have to wait around 20 minutes to get my seats, however, it is understandable because of the place is famous and it Saturday night. I like the food and the fresh ambience sitting outdoor area. Unfortunately, the unimpressive thing was sitting in front of the stage were the band playing live music. It’s such a horrible experience you can imagine sitting by the 80 dBA loud it was impossible to have conversation with friends. So my advice is inform the waiter/waitress that you don’t want to sit in front of the stage otherwise you will have the horrible dinner time.

Let see my rating: score 10

Food price and value: the foods were good my friends had steaks. The steaks were good but quite cold when served and the side dishes were not that much. I had salmon pizza I admitted it was good. The price a bit expensive when we considered by quantity and quality. However, not that bad. I would give 7/10.

Service: I would say not bad Thai people mostly they are very hospitable. 8/10

Location and transportation: There’s no public transport to get there. Only personal transportation. 6/10

Will I go back again?

I will definitely go again if I visit khaoyai...
