I came here as everyone said this restaurant is so good. However, it wasn't for me. I arrived there at 1pm and it was full!!
They don't take a reservation ahead, everyone walk in only. I had been waiting for 1 hour to get a seat. We ordered a deep fried mushroom as it said famous dish, pad cha mix mushroom, spaghetti with northern sausages, and mushroom pizza.
Somehow, they didn't enter our food or something, our food was late serving another 30-40 mins. The table came after us got the food already.
For the food, crispy mushroom was so plain, no flavour at all. It is just only mushroom dipped in panko without any seasoning. Kitchen should season panko with either salt and pepper. For mushroom pizza which is another famous, it was no flavour at all. The based of pizza is just only tomato paste but I give a bit credit as look like they used fresh tomatoes. For pad cha mushroom and spaghetti northern sausages, both are nice but bit spicy for I like.
However, at least a restaurant has shown their responsibility by...
Read moreBaan Pakor – Namkoon (Baan Huanam Mushroom Farm) is located approximately 6km from Amphor Pua - a tranquil district to the north of Nan's city. Small and charming, Pua never fails to welcome visitors with her pristine environment. That why it's worth traveling for one and a half hour by car.
This place serves differently for different visitors: a farm stay, a mushroom farm, and a surprisingly good restaurant. I really enjoyed having my lunch here. Most of the menu are mushroom dishes but they are really really great. The one I highly recommend is a mushroom pizza! Other dishes I tried and impressed are mushroom tom-yam, mushroom with soy sauce, mushroom fritters, and deep fried chicken. Ingredients are fresh and the cooking is great. The restaurant offers an intriguing view of the farm and rice fields. Prices are reasonably set. Service is good. As it is located on the hill, it might be a bit difficult for elderly people to walk from the parking space to...
Read moreWe were from Nongkhai and it's my first time in Pua. We got suggestion from our hotel staff to visit this place without knowing it before and we decided to go there. The place is not far from main road but in a small road with signs all the way then finally we arrived around 5 PM of 9th April. Parking lots in front of the place are for few car and it's okay. We walked into the place and saw some staffs, no one said hello or acted like they noticed new comers were there. Then we walked deeply to their restaurant area, still no one came. Actually we expected the place is for mushroom learning but nothing showed us that, no sign, no brochure, no staffs could give info (we tried to ask).... very disappointed, very wasted our time and I am so sad for this kind of standard of their...
