Voodoo Cafe — Restaurant in Nong Chok Subdistrict

To be honest, they are closer to 4 than 43 stars, given the overall size and portion.

Some of their food can be quite nice, like Briyani and most of the Thai fusion items. But dough-based menus like pizza and bread is terrible, dry and brittle like crackers with tomato and cheese. Beef is decent if not a bit tough and they all have a nice portion with not too expensive price tag (well too expensive after the 7% VAT and 10% Service but I reckon that you can avoid that by order on delivery)

The worst part about my experience is the service though. The staffs are friendly enough but they failed to account all of my orders like 3 times, took a long time to tell us that the one of our items aren't available then when we gave them new order, told us again that it's available after all. The drinks also took forever to get served. The 10% Service Charges feel like a joke after this.

If not for this disappointing service though, I may consider giving them a 4 stars...

The place is packed with Instagrammable areas and spots. The indoors and some outdoors spaces are decked out in a vintage way, but a kind of mishmash of periods and styles. The garden is landscaped as an English garden with a Koi pond, fountains, a well and a tree house. It's lush and worth taking pictures with. Since it's situated in the suburb of Bangkok, mosquitoes can quickly come to feed on you as soon as the sky gets dark. So the best time to visit the outdoors areas is in the day time. The restaurant and Cafe areas are comfy and air conditioned. There are both Thai and Western dishes on the menu. The taste of various dishes we had was all right, yet rather on a sweet side. เมืออาทิตย์ที่ผ่านมา (ธ.ค. 61) เรามาถึงที่ร้าน พบว่า บรรยากาศและสถานที่เหมือนอยู่ที่เมืองนอกเลยครับ ยังกะอยู่ในสวน Rain Forest นี่เป็นเพราะความตั้งใจของเจ้าของร้านแท้ๆ ที่อยากจะให้ร้านดูดี และเป็นเลิศ และเมื่อพวกเรามาถึงก็รู้สึกอย่างนั้นจริงๆ .......

พวกเราไม่ค่อยได้เห็นร้านแบบนี้เลยซึ่งตั้งอยู่นอกเมืองไกลอย่างที่หนองจอก.... ร้านแบบนี้ ปกติแล้วมักจะอยู่ในย่านที่มีนักท่องเที่ยว นักธุรกิจ เช่น สุขุมวิท ซอยทองหล่อ เป็นต้น.........

แต่อย่าได้ว่าอะไรเลยน่ะครับ....พวกเราอยากจะขอแนะนำให้ เจ้าของหรือผู้บริหาร เทรนด์ พนักงานมีความเป็นอาชีพขึ้นอีกหน่อยก็ดีน่ะครับ เพราะมันสำคัญมากเลยครับ เช่น

เวลาแขกเข้ามาในร้าน พนักงานต้องต้อนรับ แล้วพาไปที่โต๊ะ ที่เมืองนอกเวลาลูกค้าเข้ามาแล้ว เขาจะยืนรอจนกว่าพนักงานจะมารับและพาไปที่โต๊ะ.... วันนั้นเราเข้ามา ไม่มีใครต้อนรับเราเลย (โอเคไม่ว่ากัน) พอเราเข้าไปนั่ง มองซ้ายมองขวา อยู่นาน ก็ยังไม่มีใครมาเอาเมนูมาให้เลย รู้สึกขัดใจจนต้องลุกขึ้นไปบอกว่าที่เค้าน์เตอร์ ว่าเราเข้ามาจะสั่งอาหารทาน ขอเมนูด้วยครับ ถึงจะได้เรื่อง......เออ....รู้สึกแปลกๆ น่ะครับ

(ช่วงนั้นพนักงานก็ไม่ยุ่งเท่าไหร่น่ะ แต่ดูเหมือนพวกเขาไม่แอกทีฟ...... อันนี้ ถือว่า ผิดเลยครับ..... เจ้าของร้าน/ผู้บริหารร้าน ต้องดูแลในส่วนนี้ และควรให้การบริการสอดคล้องกับความอลังการและบรรยากาศของร้าน

เพราะถ้าบริการไม่เป็นมืออาชีพ ผมว่าแขกจะมาทีเดียวแล้วจะไม่กลับมาอีก

2.วันนั้นเราไม่ได้สั่งเมนูอื่น เช่น อาหารไทย/ตะวันออกกลาง แต่เราสั่งอาหารฝรั่ง เป็น Steak กับ Pizza เมนู สเต๊กเราเลือก T-Bone เนื้อ steak เหนียวมากๆ ผมว่า คนมาที่นี้ถ้าจะสั่ง steak เขาก็อยากกินของดี เนื้อ นุ่ม juicy หอม มีรสชาติ หรืออาจเป็นเนื้อที่นำเข้าก็ได้แล้วแต่ ถึงจะแพงอีกนิด ผมว่าไม่น่าจะไม่มีปัญหาน่ะ

สำหรับ Pizza วันนั้นเจอแป้งกรอบมากๆ เป็นเหมือน biscuit เลยครับ สงสัยพ่อครัวเผลอหน่อย และ cheese ก็สุกแบบ ติดแนบกับแป้งแข็งกรอบ.....(เหมือนภาพในเมนูที่ร้านนำเสนอเลยครับ...แถมไหม้อีกต่างหาก ลองดูซิครับ)

จริงๆ แล้ว ผมไม่ได้ตั้งใจและอยากจะตำหนิอะไรเลยครับ แต่ จะขอแจ้งให้ทราบและค่อยๆ ปรับปรุง ส่วนเรื่องที่สำคัญอันดับแรก...
