Great selection of craft beers in a friendly atmosphere alongside the Mekong. 1 star because of ZERO COVID-19 protocols. No masks, no social distancing. Not one of the kitchen staff are wearing masks. There are police on site who are probably paid to ignore the blatant violations. I don't feel good about writing this review as this a great place under normal conditions. I just can't accept the risk of having a dose of COVID-19 with my craft beer. Be forewarned. If you care about your health then avoid until the pandemic is under control. This establishment's behavior with respect to their patron's health is reprehensible. I laugh when the Thai PM says Omicron is under control. Someone in the Nong Khai health department should shut down this...
Read moreLikhit just moved to this new location, located 30 meters from Wat That Temple, on the corner of Rimkong Alley and Wat That 3 Alley. Fully redecorated and refurbished, everything is completely new. Several craft beers are available ( I haven't tried yet), i just went for a few local ones, but the craft ones will follow. This was a pleasant first visit here, and we will be back for a follow-up and starting to try the craft beer and the...

But I can’t justify paying 380 THB for a pint. That might make sense for imports given Thailand’s taxes, but not for local beers like The Brewing Project or Wizard, which are much cheaper elsewhere. They should promote more Thai breweries and price things more fairly.
Paying almost twice the price of a pint in London, one of the most expensive cities in the world, for Thai beer in Nong Khai just doesn’t add up, and it’s especially insane for...
