Roadhouse — Restaurant in Nong Khai Province

While waiting for my bus to Bangkok, I came across Road House on google maps and thought it would be nice to have a coffee by the river while waiting for my bus. Upon arriving I ordered a Dirty Coffee and was taken aback that it would take 15mins for the coffee. But waaaah was it worth the wait... I thought it was just a gimmicky ice latte... But oh wow was it delicious....I was surprised at the layers of sweet, savoury and tartness just from an espresso poured over cold milk... The beans chosen for this drink were simply impeccable... I mean it could have been unintentional on the cafés part but they really made my day with the Christmas piano music in the background....

Stopped here this morning and had a fantastic Yoghurt smoothie. It was so good I came back in the afternoon to try one of the coconut with coffee foam drinks. Very nice but much prefer the smoothie. My friend had a mango smoothie, equally delicious. We also had a big chewy cookie and fudge brownie. Very nice. I also see that they have accommodation at very reasonable prices. We will be looking to stay here on our next trip...

โร้ดเฮาท์มีทั้งคาเฟ่ และโรงแรมในตัว ด้วยโลเคชั่นที่ติดริมน้ำโขง บรรยากาศดี จึงเป็นที่แนะนำจากคนท้องถิ่นหลายๆคน . สถานที่ตั้งอยู่บนถนนริมโขง(ใต้) ติดซ.โพธิ์ชัย หาง่าย ได้อาศัยที่จอดรถจากลานกิจกรรมกลาง เปิดรับวิวแม่น้ำโขง และใกล้กับลานพญานาคคู่ เหมาะกับการมาพักช่วงหน้าเทศกาล . ส่วนคาเฟ่ จะอยู่ชั้น1 ห้องแอร์เย็นฉ่ำ ตกแต่งด้วยสีขาว ตัดกับเฟอนิเจอร์ไม้ โทนสีอบอุ่น มีเครื่องดื่ม ขนมหลากหลายให้เลือก แนะนำเค้กมะพร้าว เทรามิซึ บราวนี่คุ้กกี้ จะมานั่งเปิดคอมฯทำงาน หรือเอาหนังสือมาอ่าน ก็ชิลล์ดี . ส่วนชั้น2-3 เป็นส่วนห้องพัก มีบันไดขึ้นทางด้านหลังคาเฟ่ มีประตูปิดแยกชัดเจน เป็นส่วนตัว โดยห้องพักที่นี่มี 10ห้อง 6ห้องหันเห็นวิวแม่น้ำโขง อีก 4ห้องจะหันไปด้านหลัง . ห้องพักทุกห้องเป็นโทนสีขาว สะอาด กว้างมาก ติดดาวไลท์สีวอร์มไลค์ ดูอบอุ่น เตียงนุ่มนอนสบาย ระเบียงกว้างพอนั่งชมวิวได้ ไวไฟแรงไม่มีหลุด น้ำอาบแรง มีสายฉีด มีสมาร์ททีวีต่อควบคุมผ่านสมาร์ทโฟนได้ รวมๆเป็นห้องพักที่ครบครัน วิวสวย ในราคาที่ดี . ข้อสังเกตบางอย่าง...

1. ห้องชั้น2 น้ำไหลแรงกว่าชั้น3
2. แต่วิวชั้น3 ดีกว่าชั้น2 (วิวติดหลังคากับสายไฟ)
3. ทีวีจอเล็กไปหน่อย เมื่อเทียบกับระยะถึงเตียง (อุตส่าเป็นสมาร์ททีวี อัพเป็น 55"-60" ได้สบายๆ)
4. โซนอาบน้ำแคบไปหน่อย หมุนตัวยังลำบาก มีของเกะกะ อย่างที่วางสบู่ก้อนหรือที่กดสบู่เหลว
