The Best Restaurant by เชฟ ธนวัฒน์ — Restaurant in Nonthaburi City Municipality

This is our first time here. I was a bit skeptical by the previous reviews. But this place is amazing and a must try. Don’t expect that this would be a normal restaurant or an ordinary food. As Chef Thanawat open his own home to serve us one of the most unique experiences of thai food. It is the Thai culture to open home and proudly serve the family’s recipes. We first make a call a day ahead to let him know that a group of 10 people will be coming. He made his shopping the morning of. All ingredients are fresh from the local market. He explained he got his fish from a specially picked vendor and out of the boat. We order fried sha oom with pork, yum banana flowers, eggplant with fish, an ancient curry with beef, fried pork with panda leaves, lemongrass pork, and three more dishes I could not remember names but they all delicious. When you have a chance to visit, expected to see all his family members help serve the food and picked up you dish. You got to try his mother home made Khanom Kluae and Khanom Ko. Looked like I drove into someone's privatw property. Dogs barking at us whilst entering. People looking at us like they are very confused. Asked if they were open. They said yes and then walked us through their house where me and the wife sat at one table whilst the other was occupied with the rest of the family. Everyone stared at us even the older grandpa sitting on the car chair in the center of the restaurant. They do have western fusion on their menu but its basically just seafood and spaghetti so not really western i would say. Awkward experience and also food...

ร้านอร่อยร้านนี้ พ่อครัวเป็นเชฟ รร ดังมาหลายที่ และมาใช้บ้านตัวเองทำร้านอาหาร ใครจะมาทาน แนะนำให้โทรมาจอง และคุยกับเชฟก่อนได้เลย อาจมีเมนูพิเศษจากวัตถุดิบที่เชฟได้มาพิเศษ ผมตั้งใจมาร้านนี้รอบสองละ รอบแรกไม่ได้ทานเพราะเห็นป้ายเขียนว่าร้านปิด รอบสองก็เจอป้ายเขียนว่าปิดเช่นกัน แต่พอดีกำลังจอดเพื่อจะหาเบอร์โทรถามว่าเมื่อไหร่จะเปิดแล้วเชฟเดินมาหน้าร้านพอดี เลยได้โอกาศทาน ได้ทานหลายเมนูที่มีในเมนู และอีกเมนูพอดีเห็นรูปติดผนังและมีชื่อเมนู เลยลองถามดูแล้วเลยได้ชิมจานนอกเมนูคือ มะเขือยาวสอดไส้กุ้งปลาเค็ม นอกจากนี้เชพได้เดินมาทักทายและคุยด้วย เล่าเรื่องต่างๆและที่มาของร้านอย่างเป็นกันเอง เป็นร้านที่ประทับใจมากๆ เป็นร้านที่อยากแนะนำให้ลองมาทานกัน และควรค่าแก่การแวะเวียนมาชิมอาหารร้านนี้ ซึ่งจะมีเมนูแปลกใหม่แต่ยังคงความอร่อย...
