We've eaten here a few times over the last year. It's a Muslim community run restaurant, so no alcohol served. The restaurant is on a pontoon served by a rickety boardwalk, often staked out by a local troop of monkeys, so watch your belongings and don't carry anything that looks like food. Food is rustic and usually fresh out of their own net dangling in the river. Went for lunch yesterday (Aug 7) but were advised by staff manning the kiosk at the adjoining pier carpark that the restaurant had been closed for a couple of weeks due to a dearth of customers because of Covid. Read moreNot worth traveling for but if you’re around and need food it will be ok. Some edible dishes and some not great. They don’t know how to make fried rice. Seafood is fresh so if you stick with barbecue or grilled you’ll be fine.
Service - doesn’t exist. Very slow. The waiters and waitresses are there to carry food from kitchen and clean table. Don’t expect too much.
