“Over 70 years old, this grilled shrimp is still as delicious as ever." With the technique of burning shrimp with a charcoal stove that has been passed down from generation to generation, the shrimp meat is juicy, not dry, the shrimp head is delicious, with yummy dipping sauce, easy to eat, no need to go far to Ayutthaya.
"Grilled River Shrimp" Large live river shrimps grilled on a charcoal grill with special expertise until the shrimp meat is sweet, well cooked. The shrimp head is rich in shrimp oil, the color is very beautiful, very seductive. Scoop it and mix with hot steamed rice. Pour delicious seafood dipping sauce, fragrant with hot chili and lemon juice. It's not strange that it's a "must order menu". "River Prawn Tom Yum" thick soup with chili paste (no fresh milk or coconut milk), delicious and refreshing, reminiscent of childhood. The soup is not greasy. The taste is fresh and smooth. There is a sour taste, followed by spicy, salty, less sweet, and also with straw mushrooms. This is "True ancient Tom Yum". "Fluffy catfish stir-fried with chili paste" uses real catfish. Stir-fried dry, not messy, not wet, even if it doesn't add flour to make it fluffy like other shops. The taste is delicious and mellow. "Crispy boneless fish" is a seasonal menu because it only requires large and fat fish. The fish is fried until crispy. Served with "Mango salad" is another great menu that should be ordered if that day they have it. "Fried fish with chili" is fried fish, can be eaten whole. The chili is fragrant with chili, sweet, a little spicy. Anyone who likes fried fish with chili should not miss this dish. "Stir-fried gourd with salted fish" is delicious (better than stir-fried with eggs). The gourd is very well made, odorless and not bitter. Even anyone who doesn't like gourd should order it and try it as well. "Stir-fried fish balls" authentic fish balls stir-fried with herbs. Add young coconut tops to it. It goes well together.
Hong Seng Phochana Restaurant in the atmosphere of a waterfront house, open, airy, comfortable, no air conditioning, still delicious as if it was first opened by selecting good ingredients, fresh, clean and do it themself every step of the way. It's like cooking in the house. Although good ingredients are rare and the price is getting higher and higher, it will be made and sold at a price that is not too expensive.

Read moreIt is such a glory to discover this place! All started with a coincidence, one day my hubby feel like eating garlic and pepper prawn 🦐. I searched and found that the dish is one of the best of Hong Seng, whom has a long great reputation and has been open over 60 years!
We ordered 3 dishes; Fried Prawn with garlic and pepper, Fish ball pad khee mao and Kaeng som (and repeat on the garlic and pepper prawn 😋) All of them are super tasty! The taste is just right! Nothing less nothing more 🩷🩷 Hong Seng instantly become a member of my favourite list!
Price is not a bargain but not expensive as well. I love to pay 400 THB for the prawn and will happily come back 🤤
I also love the kind service and the fact that everything is clean ☺️
The only issue could have been the competitiveness of the parking lot since it closes to a big market. But we found...
